One of the best and low-key pho shops in San Antonio! Texas style brisket is used instead of the traditional thinly sliced and high marbled brisket and I am here for it.The pho was beefy, piping hot, and hits the spot.

Little restaurant tucked away in a small strip. Parking and storefront are in the back with about 16-20 parking spots shared between several stores. It's raining so naturally we must try the pho, and the house pho we ordered. The broth is slightly different than the typical aromatics I'm used to but still pleasant, at first it felt a little saltier than I'm used to also but generally this is checking the box in a satisfying way. It's very light and not greasy like another pho restaurant in the city. There's meatball, meat, tripe in the house pho. What I was missing in the broth was made up by the freshness of the meat. Sometimes pho restaurants can fall short on the freshness of the meat, but pho fresh stays true to its name and offer fresh tasting quality beef.Of note, the Chinese food plates looked enormous and a customer's sesame chicken almost swayed me to get the Chinese food, which seemed like your typical Americanized Chinese but the sauce smelled amazing and that plate can easily last 2 meals IMO. I would definitely put this on a list of restaurants that offers good-ish pho in San Antonio. Price is a bit inflated but I guess that's the economy now. Card charge costs a little extra fyi.

This is a low key spot near SA college. It's very casual, which is perfect for the area- order at the counter and they'll bring the food out. The broth was very beefy, which is great! I appreciated the piping hot bowl of pho coming out. I ordered the steak and brisket. The steak was overcooked. I only had 2 pieces of it in my bowl, but there was a galore of brisket pieces. Here, the brisket is different. It's the same cut like the bbq brisket, and not the typical cut of brisket you see in pho, very meaty and tender, not as chewy. The pho aroma is not as strong as other pho restaurants in SA but there was a subtle hint of it while the beefy flavor was more overpowering. They gave a good amount of basil, cilantro, bean sprouts and lots of limes. I appreciated they were not skimpy on the veggies! I would come back here!

True whole in the wall deliciousness right here!I was around this area and was looking for some delicious pho. It was a little early in the day and Pho Fresh was the only pho place open at that time. They are located in a small plaza right on the back side of San Antonio College. The place itself is not the most inviting, but the smell in the air from all their delicious food is amazing. For my first time I decided to go with Pho Ga (chicken pho). The broth was absolutely perfection and exactly what I was looking for. It came with all the usual sides and they did not skimp on the noodles. Overall it was an amazing pho and exactly what I was looking for.I can't wait to come back again and try some of the other dishes people have been raving about on their reviews.

I eat at this restaurant at least once a week and I have never been disappointed by either by the Chinese or Vietnamese food. I love their Bun bowls. I cook them and I have eaten bun in many restaurants all over Texas and theirs is by far the best. The owners marinate their meat for the bowls with lemon grass and it is a little spicy but not too much. Also, the spring rolls are the bomb and just like the ones at Vietnam Restaurant on Broadway, only the parking is better. Several places in town do not use rice paper but they roll their spring rolls with it. It makes their's wonderfully crispy. The restaurant is small and the patrons are college students and locals who are very friendly. This place is a hidden gem. The owners are wonderful, hard working, and provide excellent service. Please support this local business. My hope is that they can eventually open a larger location because their food is so good. I highly recommend this restaurant because of the quality and authenticity of their food.

Items such as spoons are dusty and other items such as tables and chairs are dusty and a bit old, Service attitude was not good when we asked about parking and ordering foodEspecially the taste of the food is really bad if you want to find an Asian dish to eat because the taste is not like Vietnamese or even Asian at all.

To start my review, pho is my favorite food. I'm from WA state and the pho there is HARD to beat. Knowing this info, I usually am not too hard on pho places out of state because I know they usually don't compare. But I am not exaggerating when I say this is the worst pho I ever had and would not recommend this. Stay away. To start we got the spring rolls. They were actually pretty good, nothing special but a good spring roll. I ordered the brisket pho. I know the fattier meat you get the more flavor, but this pho broth has 0 flavor. It tasted like hot water essentially. To make it even slightly decent, I had to add some much hoisin, sriracha AND heaps of soy sauce . A good pho bowl should be good with our without sauce. I didn't eat more than a few bites of the bowl before deciding it just wasn't worth it.My husband ordered the kung pao chicken. It was also awful. It tasted like it was smothered in sesame oil and had no "kung pao" flavor at all. It was also filled with so many veggies, it seemed like a way to cut costs on the chicken by making it seem bigger with tons of veggies which were also flavorless besides the gross and intense sesame oil flavor. The place wasn't the cleanest, there was a lime on the floor. It was surprisingly busy considering how awful our food was besides the appetizer. In top of this it cost us $45 for me to not even finish my bowl. Wish I could get my money back or fight for it but they make you pay BEFORE you eat, which also bothered me after the quality of the food. This was my last day in San Antonio and this was going to be a little date for us, and it was just an enormous let down. Would not recommend or ever come back honestly.Edit to add: both our stomachs also hurt now.

This was my first time here. But definitely not my last! This is a great mom and pop place. The vermicelli and pad Thai were delicious! You walk up and order at the counter. We got water and it is serve yourself. As soon as we sat down our lunch was out. The beef lemongrass vermicelli was super flavorful! The place is small and it was hot outside but they did a great job at having fans everywhere to circulate the air so it wasn't a problem! Great option for lunch when you don't have a lot of time. And the staff was super nice!
