I gotta say this place was bussin. Out of all the pho places I've tried in Texas, this one takes the cake. The brisket was super tender and the broth was savory. I got some spring rolls that hit the spot especially with the unique peanut sauce. I definitely recommend and will go again next time I'm in Texas!

I read all these 5 star reviews, and my wife, sons, and I decided to try, and we were disappointed. I had the Pho brisket and steak, and there were 2 pieces of meat in this giant bowl of broth and veggies and noodles. Everything was bland, I don't complain when it's even mediocre. This was basically hot water with stuff. I even brought it up to "the manager" as we paid, He didn't say a word, I wasnt expecting free or even discounted because we ate, but every dish we ordered was either bland or little seasoning. Service was non-existent because it took 30 minutes for lunchtime crowd, and my sons had can soda, which they tried to sip waiting for food. No offer of another drink "thanks for waiting". I asked the manager after 20 minutes, and people after us were getting theirs first. "It's coming soon," he just went back and stood at the podium. We waited 10 minutes and I was just about to get up. Then, crap! I'll never go back nor would I recommend it either.

The restaurant has a very large and varied menu. The service is attentive, and the portions are more than enough of food. The staff keeps the restaurant very clean and you can see the fresh seafood in the live tank. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures of everything we got. We love the spring rolls and vermicelli bowls. There are so many options to choose from on the menu. They have a constant take-out customer base which is a good sign. Great comfort food when it's cold outside.

Very open and welcoming ambiance! We were seated/served very promptly! Their menu is pretty extensive and somewhat overwhelming but it made it easy that we all were set on ordering pho! My friend that was with us said their other (non-pho) menu options are really good too! Pricing is reasonable as well.I have to say this is my favorite pho place so far in SATX! The broth was so rich and flavorful! Highly recommend! I'll definitely be returning!

Pho Ba 9 is absolutely amazing!Yesterday I was around the Live Oak area and was craving some pho. I don't know much about the restaurants in this side of town so decided to check on Yelp for recommendations. After reading Yelper's Jimmy D review, I was totally sold about this place (you should definitely read his review!). Pho Ba 9 not only serves your typical Vietnamese dishes, they also have a larger variety of Vietnamese dishes which you don't see too often. In case you are not very familiar with a dish and would like to see a picture, they have a QR code on each table that has images of ALL the dishes on their menu. For my first time I decided to go with the classic Pho Ga, and to share my husband and I ordered fried rice with filet mignon in a garlic butter sauce. Everything came out super quick and was 10/10. The pho broth was packed with flavor and exactly what I needed on a cold winter day. The fried rice was so flavorful and the meat was very tender. I had never had fried rice like this before, and would definitely come back just for that alone.

On a cold day, Phō is always good medicine! They don't disappoint here and there is something for everyone because the menu is huge! Starting with drinks there is a wide variety of favorites to choose from and some items you don't typically see at a Vietnamese restaurant, but they seem to have a lot of food and drink items from all of southeastern Asia! I started with the classic Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk which was a smooth little pick me up!The phō broth was out of this world so flavorful, real bone broth flavor and not just hot water poured over noodles. Definitely that was something that will be bringing me back. The meat was great too and also seemed to have some skirt steak as well and not just meatballs.Also not pictured was fried rice with steak pieces and that was a good entree to share and took as leftovers!

Updating my review to 5 stars because this place is quickly becoming a weekly or bi-weekly stop for my husband and I. We literally crave it all the time! Highly recommend the cha gio, crab rangoons, Pho Tai Nam, and their #67 combination pan fried noodle.
