Pesto Ristorante - Olmos Park

Mixed feelings about this restaurant. It is in a great location, which is a plus, right at the beginning of the Olmos area, surrounded by beautiful homes. Good menu choices and welcoming atmosphere. Minimalist, but elegant décor and good servers.The food was delicious, but prices were high and portions small. I had the Small Pesto Mediterranean Salad, which was $5.50 and the Stuffed Shells for $17. Neither had protein added, which would be extra. Given the prices for pasta, I am not sure this is going to be the Italian go to place for me, but the food was certainly good.

Everything went well! Let's me start with location, it is in one of the old nice areas of San Antonio, called Olmos Park, very neat.Parking is not a problem and I love that.We didn't have a reservation and it was no problem, there were ya les available.The staff is atto and they know very well their menu!About the food, wow! It was terrific! From the bread to the main dish. I ordered Shrimp Alejandra and I was in love from the first bite, the shrimp has a light batter and it's so crispy, the pasta has a pesto sauce that is to die for!Wine selection is great as well!Definitely Pesto is a little gem in the heart of Olmos Park.My only observation is the bathroom, it could be better :)

My mom was in town and she wanted Italian so we tried a new spot. We chose well. It was the middle of the week and we were the only ones in the restaurant. The interior was nice nothing too mind blowing. We had the Cesar salad , chicken parm, chicken Alfredo, and the sea bass. Everything came out perfect and looked so good I actually forgot to take pictures and just dug in. I would definitely check this place out if you want to try a local business that has high standards.

Another great experience at PESTO!!!! PESTO for the win for great food, phenomenal service and upscale ambiance. The prices are fair. The flavors are off the chart. How many times do I need to post about them for you to go visit them. This Italian food beats ALL other Italian places in town, in my opinion. Go check them out.

I've been there twice now. The calamari is very good and I would recommend that. tonight I had the Romano crusted chicken. It's very rich and in my view has either too much butter or oil. My wife had the risotto which unfortunately was overcooked. I can also say neither dish had much in the way of flavor. Staff is excellent and a restaurant is clean and attractive. Unfortunately, for me, and this is just my taste, I haven't enjoyed the last two dishes that I've gotten there very much. Will give it one more shot and see if I can find something I enjoy.

Went for a late lunch around 3;30pm. Not to busy at all.Had Romano Crusted chicken delicious & daughter had Alfredo with shrimp , she said was awesome. We will definitely be back. Love at the atmosphere & windows & the food is amazing.

17 Aug 2023They now serve breakfast daily from 8 - 11am. The menu is not super extensive, but you'll find something you like. The server says this is their first menu and will revise as necessary. She asked us to send any suggestions we have. The husband ordered the loaded omelet and I ordered the garden omelet. Toast and your choice of potatoes, fruit or plain yogurt. Husband had potatoes, me the fruit. The fruit today was watermelon and cantaloupe. The toast is sliced off of a loaf and then toasted. Same bread served with dinner. Yum. The accompanying homemade salsa is very flavorful, not super hot. Prices are very reasonable. Our bill for the two plates, plus coffee and OJ (OJ refills like the coffee are free) $31.25. Norah our server was great. There when you needed her. Answers all our questions. This is their first week open. I wish them success. Go there.

Our daughter graduated from high school on Saturday. We hosted a lovely family dinner in the private Wine Room at Pesto Ristorante Olmos Park, and we are so pleased with how it turned out. Mackenzie Adams was the coordinator for our event and she provided outstanding service. She was friendly, helpful, and responsive. She walked me thru menu choices, created gorgeous custom menus for our event to match our chosen color scheme/decor, and even offered to create floral centerpieces! A family member wanted to take charge of decor for our event. She was able to visit the restaurant in advance to assess the space and she was also able to arrive early, ahead of our event, to decorate. Pesto & Mackenzie were so accommodating!Our chosen menu included romano crusted chicken, shrimp Alejandra, chicken alfredo, lasagna and spaghetti with meatballs, along with salad and dessert options, but there are many more entree choices from which to choose. Everyone in our large family enjoyed their meal, as well as cocktails and wine! They were very kind & patient with the small children in our group. If you are looking for a private space with delicious food and friendly service, Pesto Ristorante is perfect!!(I did not get any food pics but here is the beautiful custom menu created by Pesto.)

My boyfriend took me here for an early birthday dinner knowing I am a huge fan of Italian food! We'd never been here before so I was super excited to try it. Came here around 6:30 on a Sunday and it was pretty empty only about 3 tables were full. Immediately noticed how incredibly high the prices were for a lot of dishes. I ordered a small Caesar salad to start out and it was pretty good. The dressing is made in house and had a bit of a stronger flavor than other Caesar dressings I've tried. I ordered the Romano crusted chicken which was super tasty! The chicken was cooked perfectly and had a crispy outside. The pasta was coated in a delicious lemon butter sauce and topped with capers which I LOVE! They are supposed to bring out free bread at the beginning, but unfortunately we asked our waiter a few times and he said it was in the oven. After being reminded towards the end of our meal and saying he had forgotten he brought it out 5 minutes later as we were finishing our plates of food. Unfortunately they don't do complimentary birthday desserts like other places. It was a cute small restaurant with lovely music playing during our meal.

Excellent! The food was delicious and the service was great! Took my mom here for her birthday and we all enjoyed ourselves. We will definitely be back! While I was dining here I felt like I was a part of an exclusive group who knows about this restaurant. It was so good! Plus they had a meal, 2 for $40. Two entrees and a dessert for $40! Great deal and great meal! Perfect portions!
