Papouli's Greek Grill

Food is always delicious. Been looking for a good Greek restaurant and I found it. Been back several times and has always been good. This is not a fast food restaurant,you will have to wait like any normal restaurant. I gave a 4 star because they have yet to fix the a/c in that place and now there grill vent is broken so it's warm and smokey inside. Since the summertime the a/c has been down. Fix the a/c and vents and you get a perfect 5 stars.

It was dark and dingy with expensive food of poor quality.And of course, it took forever to come out.I got the lamb gyro and a sirloin skewer w/ fries which cost $21.The fries were limp and bland, I had to bake and salt when i got home.The meat was tough and dry, i took it and chopped up the meat to make it more chewable and still rather unpleasant, even the veggie were awful.First time there and it definitely will be my last. The North Star mall has better gyro and it's low quality processed meat, but still a better experience than here.Very sad and ready shocked at how bad this was.

I had to pick up a cake nearby and it was l Iunchtime so I figured I better pick up some food as I was unable to cook. I wanted thai but the place was closed boo so I decided to get greek. I had eaten real bad night before so I figured falafel would be better so I got that w a greek salad. Once back at my hosts place I dug in but honestly found the falafel to be bland. Ive made it before and used parsley and these were lacking flavor. The pita and sauce was good but the orzo pasta was gummy. Yuck. Will not return

Place has gone downhill as of recently. Screwed of both orders and the head chef didn't give me a chance to tip because he was in a mood. Fact is - y'all work in a shopping center. Last minute orders will be a thing.

Food use to be great but the quality of food can be hit or miss lately.One of our gyros was cold to touch while the other was piping hot.It seems like mine had been sitting there a while.The cashier was friendly when we ordered at the counter.It must just be a kitchen thing.

This is so annoying, it took them thirty minutes to cook my food and when I asked about it, the lady had an attitude with me. I get home and my sides are skimped and I don't even receive the right order. This is ridiculous. Don't be rude to your customers and still not deliver. Unprofessional and disrespectful.

The customer service is top notch! Love the food and the simplicity! My go to for healthy good food!

A great spot to grab lunch! Me and hubby wanted to grab something to eat while out running errands and settled on this place. When you walk in you place your order at the counter then seat yourself. There weren't many open/cleaned tables when we went so more staff is probably needed to keep up but it wasn't a big deal.I ordered the lunch special which came with a small gyro, salad, and fries. I loved that you could choose different sandwhich options and styles. I went with the Greco roman style with peppers and taziki sauce and it was delicious! The Greek salad was also very delicious and tasted fresh. The downside was the fries for me since they were not crispy and just oily. If the fries are better next time this place will be a definite 5 for me!

I would say some of the best Greek food in the San Antonio area. The hand-carved gyros are top notch and so is the falafel.The vegetables and produce seem freshly and the meze sampler platter is definitely the best if you're trying to get to know some of these food items for the first time.We also like the baklava. The service is always very good and friendly and the parking is easy!

This place was recommended to me and I will not recommend it to anyone else. The food was a HUGE disappointment here. Gyro with lukewarm/tepid meat, basic fries, and my companion had to deal with an incorrect order. The drink machine was missing two choices and the others were Pepsi . The person who took our order seemed bothered by the presence of patrons and the person preparing food had headphones on and couldn't be bothered. Another strike-out in my search for decent greek food in San Antonio.
