Papa Nacho's

We go here probably once a week. Love the wait staff, everyone is friendly. Food is great our favorites are the fajitas and nachos. Margaritas are great! We highly recommend this restaurant. Carlos usually waits on us and is very attentive to our needs and sometimes has queso and chips on the table when we walk in and our drink orders at the bar already before we sit down.

I got takeout for my wife and I. My wife ordered the two chicken taco lunch special and I ordered their two cheese enchiladas with a beef fajita lunch plate. The whole process went smoothly and I picked up our food in 10 minutes. Everything was hot and delicious! I recommend paying extra for the beef fajita taco, it was great!

Came for Sunday lunch. This was my first visit. When you first come in to your left are several cases of beer. Not a great way to put your best foot forward. It's like let's start with you getting an idea of our beer inventory.Oddly you frequently see this type of thing in San Antonio -but usually at a dive Restaraunt. The service was quite good.The food was good as well - had the lunch special - 2 cheese enchiladas and a crispy taco. The enchiladas were good and taco was just ok.

Thought we pop in while in the area. We always talked about trying this establishment. Problem is there are a lot of good eateries in this vicinity. For some reason in my mind thought this was like a fast food restaurant. As soon as we walked on we were greeted and seated. The establishment is casual, there were a lot of people, conversations going on. There was Latin music playing which added to the ambiance. Our waiter, Pelon was friendly & patient. We placed an order of nachos and drinks. The nachos were absolutely scrumptious. From the jalapeños, fresh beef to real guacamole. Chips freshly fried & yah the salsa was spectacular. Like why have we not stopped before? Oh not to mention the perfectly made Amaretto Sour! Embarrassingly we are the entire nacho order.Would definitely return.

Food is delicious! I had a fish plate and was very happy with the tastiness! I want to go back. Definitely recommend.

In a city where Tex Mex joints are on every corner, Papa Nachos does a terrific job with their food. So good in fact I believe they serve the best enchiladas in the area. Enchiladas are always served piping hot with excellent rice and beans, whether you go refried or charro (I prefer the stellar charros). Typical fare such as chalupas, crispy tacos, and flautas are served fresh with excellent accompaniments. When it comes to the fajitas, the chicken can't be beat with a nice grill flavor and a kiss of lime. I'm not as big a fan of the beef fajitas, which taste like they spend a little too much time in a soy based marinade. Beyond the standard Tex Mex, the menu also boosts some terrific seafood items. The fish dishes especially stand out, and I like the option to swap out boring tilapia for something like redfish or mahi mahi for a small up charge. Service is always solid and friendly. Food arrives fast, but never feels rushed. Tea and water and even bar drinks are refilled quickly and efficiently. The space is warm and inviting, but most importantly the place is spotless. Love dining at Papa Nachos.

I was craving a really good beef fajita and have been googling to find a place. I saw the reviews which said they had the best fajitas and couldn't agree more. I love the chard onions that come with it as well. There are poblano queso is amazing, so is there poblano soup. Their nachos are delicious. Not to mention the mango margarita which was absolutely the icing on the top. This is definitely a regular weekend date night.

I'm eating my weekly ceviche from Papa Nacho's. Today it is exceptionally good! What was really nice today is that their jalapeños were in chunks and were easily picked out.

My go to for sizzling beef fajitas and best cheese enchiladas in San Antonio. The chicken fried steak was amazing with jalapeño cream gravy!!!

Food doesn't disappoint. I love their chicken and shrimp fajitas. My mom and sister love the beef taco salad.,
