Place was empty- good 4 us- the food was good! Next time we come I am getting the big ol concha con cafe and the big ol torta!! The cafe was really good ! Great service- everything we had was so good - Torta 4/5Café 4/5Queso panela 5/5 highly recommend this appetizer

Im not the type to ever post a rating especially a bad one , but today I had one if not the worst experience when it came to restaurant and service .Aside from me waiting about 2 weeks to give this place a try and the wait times on a busy Sunday I waited to give it a try .At 11:55 I checked in , didn't get called in till around 12:40 . I was ok with the wait times till I started to notice people behind me in line were getting their food and I wasn't . 2 tables down was a couple who got there after me , so it turns out they took my food to their table and my food sat at their table for about 10 mins before it was noticed. Instead of taking that food to the back it was brought straight to my table . By this time it was already around 1:20 . Waiter came and explained what happened and well I was understanding . He said food was being re made . After waiting about another 10 mins good was brought back out and went straight to that couple again . There was a confusion I'm guessing but at this point I was done . I walk to the front to explain what happened to (owner/manager ) . Not only was she cutting me short but was not willing to hear what had happened, waiter approached her and explained what happened as well . I told her I didn't want the food anymore as I didnt want the waiter to be charged since I didn't eat any of it . Before this she just told the waiter if the food was out just to charge me . Like wowOverall it was a sh!tty situation and I just think the way it was handled could have been different . I'm not going to say more than it is just making people aware of the situation I ran into at this place .

First time at this location. Main reason I came here was for their famous large Concha. I didn't order it because it cost $50.0 but it's served with a large pot of chocolate feeds a large group of people. I came here for breakfast with my Fam. I ordered the panfila plate and other dishes that the family ordered. The dishes had a colorful presentation. Every dish had a well balanced flavor. Not salty. Even the salsa had authentic flavor. I also ordered their seasonal Pan de Los Muertos. It is sweet bread, Sweet Soft and fluffy This place did not disappoint. Service was great and the place is clean. I recommend you go there when they open cuz it gets packed by 11am on the weekend.

The half coffee half chocolate drink was great with the food..our server was very informed.. his suggestions were spot on...

Took the extended family here for dinner tonight. They wanted real mexican food, not Tex-Mex and of course Panfila Cantina delivered. Amazing guacamole and three salsas with tortilla chips to start. The three salsa plan really offers something for every palate. We had everything from steak to cheese enchalada's to chili rellano and every plate was devoured. Comes with tasty refried beans and rice. They offer a full bar. Attentive servers without hovering. Always feels like you are at a favorite aunt's house and she is making all your favorite foods.

San Antonio is competitive with Mexican restaurants, unfortunately, the service, cost and food quality are a 2-star here. Ambiance is the only highlight. Expect to wait unreasonably both to seat and eat. There are additional costs for everything you'd typically think is already included with the meal. Social media hype. No picture because we waited too long for lukewarm food and tried to eat it before it completely was cold.

Most definitely a great place to enjoy a tasty cafe de olla and pan dulce. Went to the San Antonio area to visit a friend and we came upon this place for breakfast. It was easy to get on the wait list. They tried their best to get us seated as fast as we could. The restaurant us decorated very simple but added touches make you remember it's a Mexican restaurant. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars was that the wait for the food was VERY long.... but worth the wait. I ordered a simple breakfast once it came out you know it was made from scratch. The eggs cooked to perfection, the sauce base was delicious, and the side potatoes and beans just perfect. The concha and cafe de olla the size of my head were so darn good. I loved every single bit of it!!! Definitely go there hungry and leave room for dessert.

Amazing Cafe de Olla, Food was served and tasted like heaven. The music was perfect, and the waiter Ricardo was friendly and helpful for our first time here.
