What a fantastic experience! My only regret was not taking any photos of the incredible food!I chose this spot for my partner's birthday dinner, and they did not disappoint. The staff quickly accommodated our group of 8, and the drinks were spot on! We sat outside on the patio, which was vibrant, full of energy, and adorned with an abundance of plants--such a relaxing atmosphere.Happy hour from 2 pm to 6 pm was a bonus! We ordered the Bandera Palomar, which was massive (definitely enough for four people to share), along with the sopa de frijol, the ensalada de carbón with added salmon, the chicharrón de ribeye (a happy hour appetizer), and the garnachas. Everything was perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor. For dessert, we indulged in churros and tres leches--both absolutely divine. It was a memorable night, and I highly recommend this place!

We've passed this spot a dozen times and finally just gave it a try and I'm glad we did! The vibe here is so fun - they have indoor and outdoor seating and the decor is really fun. The food was incredible! A more higher end Mexican food spot and although I didn't have anything to drink, their drink menu looked great. The groups I went with were drinking and everyone enjoyed their cocktails. It seemed like every other table was drinking also, so if you're looking for a spot to do so and enjoy some good food, this is it.One negative is that the parking lot is SO small, so if you come at a busy time it may be challenging to find a spot.

The atmosphere was cute, but the experience didn't live up to expectations. I ordered a La Brisa, which was supposed to feature Lalo tequila, but the pomegranate juice completely overpowered it. Water was never refilled, and the service was slow, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. The food was disappointing--bland and lacking the flavorful punch I was expecting. The chicken enchiladas seemed to be made with canned chicken, and while the poblano omelette was visually appealing, it wasn't much of an omelette at all. Unfortunately, I left underwhelmed.

Stop at Palomar Cocina & Cantina to visit with family and friends. Interesting spot and I liked the location.Outstanding: Very inviting place and loved the decor; Smallish, but there was plenty of seating.Staff were cordial and friendly. I do remember it being a bit slow, but nothing that stood out. Good: I ordered vegetable fajitas, which was a large portion of a good mixture of vegetables, including a complete nopal. Presentation was fun served in a cutting board with tortillas, rice, refried beans and guacamole.Prices: Food was affordable with some pricey items. The vegetable fajitas were $14.95, without any meat. Chicken tortilla soup $8.95 and baked potato stuffed with beef fajita $13.95 were ordered by others at our table.Okay: Food portions were all over the place. The vegetable fajita was a good size, but the stuffed baked potato was extremely small and the soup needed more chicken and vegetables.Taste for the fajitas l and beans was very bland. And the tortilla soup was mostly onions and chopped green peppers with a bit of sliced avocado. This place has potential and they had other food items that looked appetizing. I would like to try some of those as a second visit.

I have been to Palomar a few times. The food has always been delicious. There are many options to choose from. I got the enchiladas verdes last time which was a great choice. We typically get the guacamole which is made tableside. I'd say this is a must. We love sitting outside under the live oak trees. Beautiful all around. Sometimes the service is a tiny bit slow despite not being busy, but otherwise its a great experience. It has never prevented us going back.

Made a reservation via OpenTable. I like that when I arrived, they had the table ready. We sat inside, but they have a nice patio. They also have an outside and an inside bar. As soon as I got seated, they brought me my chips and salsa. My waiter didn't come around for quite a while, but once he came by, he came back often and anticipated our needs. I ordered the queso Blanco to start with. I ordered the small portion. It was good, but I probably would not order it again. It came with different types of chips. I like the ones that you get complementary better than the ones that came with the queso. The salsa that comes with the complementary chips was also very good. It wasn't too spicy. For my main meal I ordered the stacked shrimp enchiladas that came with green sauce. It kind of reminds me of an enchilada casserole or lasagna type enchilada. It was layered with refried beans, cheese and green salsa. It was pretty good. Very flavorful I ordered a Cantarito. If wasn't that great. I then ordered a house margarita and that was better. Parking is going to be the biggest issue for this place. The parking is shared with the other business and it is very limited. It took quite a while to find parking. I went around the parking lot a few times, and even explored the back part of it.

First visited this fairly new restaurant during the brutally hot summer. Inside was cool and calm and colorfully decorated - an oasis!Good ambiance, very friendly, helpful service. LOVED the tableside quacamole prep, and the creamy green result was DELICIOUS! Our group had enchiladas and fajitas, and everyone enjoyed their meal. We've been back several times since that first summer visit, and it's becoming a favorite!

Really was looking forward to a patio experience on a gorgeous day. The IG photos looked interesting, so Palomar was the choice.Pros:1. The Paloma was amazing. Great mix of grapefruit, sweet and tequila. 2. They seated us quickly.3. The enchiladas del sol with beef toppings was super good, tender, flavorful toppings.Cons:1. Parking is messy and nearly non-existent. 2. The service was nice, but he was barely seen and messed up the order.3. The remaining food was bland ... especially the rice and tacos.4. The margaritas were super sweet.Great day on the patio. Not a great dinner.

Terrible place no one served my party after we were seated. Waited for about 20 minutes then left. Would not recommend.

Food was horrible, service was even worse. If you want to wait over an hour to get your food, and even another hour for drinks. Do not go and waste your time here.
