We've been to this place twice and it's easily a new family favorite. The menu is great and offers A LOT of choices. The unlimited sides aspect is such a great bonus. We love their pork belly, brisket and beef bulgogi. As for the side dishes, our go-to are the corn cheese, Korean hotdog, and the bulgogi fries with cheese. The place is pretty spacious, and the booths have enough space for our kids to be comfortable when we're dining there.Everyone there is always so accommodating and kind. Just a warning, they're short staffed (like most places) so the wait between ordering/seeing your server may take a while. You'll be busy grilling anyway, so you won't notice in the long run, but you might get a little impatient if you're hungry!Overall, this place has definitely earned a spot on one of our favorite AYCE places in the city. Can't wait to go back!

The good: Service was nice and attentive. They have the usual selection of meat and side dishes, all of which were of pretty good quality. The less good:The burners are electric and do not get hot enough, which is a big problem for KBBQ. You'll find it challenging to sear thin cuts quickly with nice Maillard browning, and instead the meat can steam a bit as it sits on the plate. They do not serve alcohol but do allow BYOB. This may be considered a pro since you can drink more cheaply this way, but we didn't know in advance and had to wait to have alcohol delivered to us by uber haha.

Date of dine in 01/18/2025Ooh La La Korean BBQ delivers a dining experience that's as interactive as it is delicious. From the moment we stepped in, the lively atmosphere and enticing aroma of grilling meats set the tone for a fantastic meal. But the true highlight of the evening was Jay, our server, whose warm personality and exceptional attention to detail made our visit unforgettable. We ordered Cajun shrimp, fried chicken, Cajun chicken, shrimp tempura, and a few sides. We The Cajun shrimp was a standout, perfectly spiced and we cooked it to perfection. The fried chicken was crispy, golden, and addictive, while the Cajun chicken brought a smoky heat that was deeply satisfying. The shrimp tempura was light, airy, and a delightful complement to the meal.Unfortunately, the spicy cold noodle didn't quite hit the mark for me. While it had a refreshing texture and a kick of spice, the flavors didn't come together in a way that matched the rest of the stellar dishes. That said, the other sides--like the kimchi pancake, steamed egg, and japchae--more than made up for it, rounding out the meal with vibrant, authentic Korean flavors.Jay's attentive service truly elevated the experience. She ensured our grill was always in top shape, offered helpful tips on how to best cook the meats, and was always ready with a smile and quick refills of our sides. Her expertise and kindness made us feel like VIPs.Ooh La La Korean BBQ is a must-visit for food lovers seeking bold flavors and a hands-on dining experience. While the spicy cold noodle wasn't to my taste, everything else was absolutely delicious, and Jay's impeccable service sealed the deal. I'll definitely be back again.

I will suggest, if coming with a group of people, do account for at least 2 HRs. We ordered the all you can eat and spent nearly 2 HRs for a group of 7 peeps. We all agreed that the already seasoned meat was far more flavorful. We ordered an array of sides all suggested by the waitress and had nothing but positives reviews on everything. Also, don't forget to try the fried chicken(especially the spicy one)

Based off the current reviews + pictures, I had no idea that this restaurant had wagyu meats and so many authentic korean sides. I saw an Instagram foodie post about it so I had to check it out.I realize now that no one posts about it because it is a steep $55+ per person for the most Premium AYCE option. We had 3 people and our bill was about $200 with the tip. There are cheaper menu options though, and I'll mention which one I'd go with next time! The wagyu meats were super delicious, but honestly none of them were that marinated so it still needed sesame oil or kimchi to enhance the flavor. Then at that point you could be eating any other meat. I don't regret trying the premium wagyu, but I recommend going one level down in the AYCE menu options and getting the LA galbi. This meat is very well marinated with great KBBQ flavor and short ribs are my favorite cut of meat. We'll stick to that and pork belly or jowl next time. This has become my favorite AYCE Korean place in town based on all the great quality Korean sides. You can order any of the soups - soy bean, kimchi or ramen. We got the spicy cold noodle which was really refreshing while eating so much meat. We also got corn cheese and ttebokki (spicy rice cakes). Another unexpected favorite from our table was the Honey Glazed rice cakes. It was almost like fried, sweet mochi. We loved it and had 3 orders.Lastly, I've got to say our service was really good. They have a tabletop iPad that makes it easy to order more meat. The servers from last Friday night were also great about giving us sides and made it a fun time. They could see we went through the small serving of kimchi quickly so they gave us a large bowl. This is going to be our go-to place for KBBQ from now on. I can't believe I didn't know how good it was from the poor Yelp pictures before, but that's why I had to leave a review so more people could see this place is legit with Korean food.

Make sure your whole table agrees on the types of meat you want. Because you all will pay the same price. Luckily our group did. The gyoza was cold on the inside, and fried chicken was tasteless. Pick something else. Other than that make sure to utilize the salt and pepper, oils and sauces. It'll make a difference in the taste of your food. Oh! Stay away from the garlic chicken, it was overwhelming.

I'm open minded and not a snob but I wouldn't come back here. The moment I walked in and saw carpet I should have turned around. The cleanliness and overall food handling procedures were concerning at every corner. The food was just... ok. Our server was also... ok. She meant well, but tugged at her leggings alot and lacked polish and professionalism.

We were very excited to enjoy the 5/5 meal described in the other reviews. And, we did enjoy the beef and teriyaki chicken best. The Hawaiian beef was tough. The best sides were the Mongolian French fries and the broccoli salad. Sauces were tasty. The restaurant was busy and had only been open for about a week. The staff clearly was overwhelmed. We had to ask for menus, ask for sauces, extra water...you get the idea...and the check. We were given forks and scissors, but knives weren't available and rice was served without servimg spoons! There was a mistakenly undercooked item but the manager graciously provided us a 10 percent discount...much appreciated. The other thing to mention is that I left smelling like Korean BBQ and my jacket still smells like it a day later, in small part because of the smokey atmosphere.

Went in early afternoon on a Saturday.Pros: good selection of meats and sides included in AYCE. Love the option for steamed egg and soft tofu soupCons: They didnt have multiple items or ran out of them- lettuce, veggies, kimchi, beers - no asian beers, only had corona There was only 1 other table there but service was definitely lacking from the beginning. Was only checked in a handful of times and some grill items took more than 20 minutes to come outMy biggest gripe was the drink prices, very expensive! They didnt have a drink menu with prices so we were very surprised at the end that it was $20 for a Soju and $9 for a Corona bottle other korean AYCE have soju for $10-15 and draft/bottled beer for $5-6.Definitely other options in San Antonio with better prices and service...
