If you love cigars and live jazz check this spot out! It is located right outside of the Hyatt Regency on the riverwalk. The level on the riverwalk has a small seating area where live jazz plays nightly as well as a bar. Take a few stairs up and you enter the cigar patio. I loved the ambiance of the dim lighting, comfy patio furniture and evening breeze. They were also dog friendly and brought our dog a water bowl. Please keep in mind there is not much seating, but we were lucky enough to find seating both times we visited. We even made friends with a nearby couple! You can bring your own cigars or purchase them there. You do have purchase something though if you sit there. We had just had a large meal both visits, so we ordered a few shots ($5 each special of the day) and the next visit the Gulf Bend Seafood Dip.The dip was really refreshing and flavorful. I would get it again for sure. Our waitress I wish I could remember her name, but she was super sweet and attentive.

My husband and I were walking on by the riverwalk when we heard music and decided to take a break and have a drink. Great ambiance here with great service but not so great cocktails. Both of our drinks tasted nothing like alcohol, had no flavor. We didn't get any food items cause it was closing time and they were serving drinks only. We enjoyed our time here listening to live music that's about it. Hopefully the food is good cause it's a great place on the Riverwalk.

I did not eat here but I enjoyed a 12 Year GlenLivet Single Malt Scotch and. Padron 1926 Cigar. YES, this Oyster bar has cigars for sell. Strolling down the River Walk after lunch, we came across this place. One of the staff waved us in, we ordered and stepped up top to the deck, with tables, chairs and couches. With low volume music in the background, this was a nice spot to relax. 4 star rating because I had not tried the food but my experience here was off the charts.

It was later on a Friday night and we were tired and hungry after a long day of airports and delayed flights. We saw the band setup (they were on break) and looked forward to enjoying some drinks and food while listening to some live music. The hostess stand was empty and no one in sight so we went in and talked to the bartender who sent us back outside near the service door to find the hostess. She was nice and got us a table and cleaned it off. Our server was just as nice. The food was an abomination. The peel n eat shrimp cocktail came with shrimp that must have been soaking in water for days - kid you not - because the ends of them were literal mush. I spit a few out but was so ravenous I ate some that were just somewhat waterlogged and not utter mush. Very little flavor for a boiled cold shrimp appetizer and the dipping sauce was sweet, almost fruit-like which was sort of gross. The Creole Gumbo was equally lackluster. There was a ton of rice and almost zero flavor except for the two andouille sausage chunks and some shrimp. The live band was pretty good. They invited some woman that was part of the audience up to sing "Summertime" and we were thankful she was not actually singing into a mic. Check please.

catching a Saturday night football game was a high priority for us on the Riverwalk. So honestly, the ease of making a reservation and having lot of TVs from which to watch the Cowboys game, made this an immediate draw. We stopped by on a New Year's Eve eve after our first option was a nearly 3 hour wait. I was able to make a reservation online pretty quickly. In terms of service and the hostess, this place was super unorganized - the hostess was never at either stations, and once we finally tracked her down and stated we had a reservation, she quickly sat, but did not inform the waitress that we were a new table. The waitress was clearly overwhelmed and must've been well into a long day. Service wise she did as best as she could managing her tables.Drinks: we ordered a cocktail and a beer. The beer selection was pretty limited especially when it came to craft options. we live in a small town so anytime we head into a larger city, we always grab a cocktail. Hubs had the jalapeño margarita, which was really lopsided in terms of flavor.onto the food! This is really where the stars quickly dropped. We had the ceviche and shrimp cocktail. Both were not to my liking. But shrimp cocktail which was advertised as a Mexican style was really odd. The gazpacho base was honestly awful. I just couldn't eat it at all. based on the reviews, we were really hopeful for this place, and I'm not sure if they were just off because of the holiday and other celebrations happening. But I don't know that I would come back.

The amazing bartender Lelee is why this review isn't a 1 star. I was excited to come here for oysters specifically. The outside atmosphere is cute but it was hot so I decided to sit inside at the bar. Lelee made me an off menu drink based on what I said I liked and it was really good! I started with the gumbo which had a decent flavor but was runny like a broth or soup. Then I was happy I could order half a dozen oysters--half east coast and half gulf. The first two were great and I enjoyed the mignonette and traditional toppings. The next oyster I picked up had not been properly cleaned and I got sticky, stinky, black oyster waste in my nail and almost threw up!! They took the oysters off my ticket and I finished my drink and left. Still hungry lol music selection was weird too.

Ordered East Coast oysters half dozen at $19 plate and they were the smallest oysters that I have ever seen , way over priced for what you pay, pretty much price gouging and chef knows it because he/she added two more for they being small, for being small what they should of done is provided dozen at that price to make up for smallest but I learned is has a on going problem and management isn't fixing the problem

Visited this place on Christmas Day. Staff was very kind and helpful. At times a bit slow but it was busy and a holiday. I had a reservation for the cigar outdoor seating which is a flight of stairs above. The view of the river, lounge couches and general vibe of that area was so nice. From what I could tell you can only sit up there with a reservation (or maybe all the tables were spoken for?) making it very quiet and private. This is a cocktail bar but they did have beer although not any on draft which was fine with us. Got some coors light and Alamo beer. We ordered the vanilla Tatiana cigar which they cut and can light for you. Very nice. After a few drinks we got oysters Rockefeller and 1/2 dozen of gulf oysters. Both were great. Only one small con was there is only one single bathroom here and the wait can get long.

The atmosphere, service and food were top tier! This was our first time to visit the San Antonio River walk, and we couldn't have picked a better dinner spot.
