North Italia 11-24-24 10/100Today I tried something new that I really want to highlight. Mainly because I couldn't find a single photo or review about...drum roll LUMACHE ALLA NORCINA 23fennel sausage, rapini, grana padano crema, herb breadcrumbs, black truffle. (Menu description and price)I ordered mine with Gluten Free pasta. This dish is very unique and has a very special flavor profile. Fennel sausage-which if you don't know fennel I would not recommend trying it until you know more about this aromatic root/onion like plant. Fennel is spicy and sweet at the same time with a hint of anise to it. I absolutely love fennel and drink it as a tea also, so I was excited. Rapini-this is another unique type of broccoli that is actually bitter. Reminds me of eating arugula. Most people don't like the taste. However, the CHEF knows what they are doing here and you just have to trust the art behind this combination of flavors. It is harmoniously paired with the spicy fennel Grana Padano- I had heard of this cheese from one of my favorite movies and was so excited to see it here. It is creamy and dreamy Black Truffle- there are no words required here. I can only say WOW! This is now my favorite pasta dish. The taste and smell of these ingredient pairings is artful and balanced. The breadcrumbs on top gave it a nice texture also. So...if you like fennel and have never tried grana padano cream sauce, give this a try. It's totally worth the adventure of trying a new dish. Thank you to DANIEL for being knowledgeable about the menu, being patient with all our questions, and helping to make our lunch wonderful. ~LindaD

Service was horrible the afternoon I took my father and husband here after a round of golf. Wasn't at all busy in the restaurant, however I did notice they must have received a large order for pickup. None the less after 30 mins of waiting and staring at our waitress, she finally came over to say our food should come out shortly. Almost an hr total of waiting for 2 meatball sandwiches and an Italian grinder. With our sandwiches - we got COLD fries. Flagged the waitress down and she stated she would get our fries redone. Since we were in a hurry to leave I made the mistake of not checking the receipt and still giving her a 20% tip thinking I would give her some slack. When I got home checked the receipt and she decided to charge us for the refired order of fries. Called the restaurant a couple days later when I got home( we do not live in SA and was just visiting my father) and spoke to the manager who stated he would call me back... hence this long 1 star review because I did not get a call back. Horrible service between staff and on duty manager. A shame since this chain restaurant isn't bad.Recommend not wasting your money here.

It was my third time going there. My wife loves it. There are just a couple things.1. Drink service is always incredibly slow. Ordered a glass of wine right before my food came last night and I didn't get it until I was mostly done with my meal. Kind of the same thing happens every time with drink service there.2. Ordered the pasta with sausage and rapini (broccoli rabe) because I love rapini. Pasta came with sausage and broccolini stems. Literally only the stems, and it was NOT rapini. Really strange, and definitely not as good as rapini greens. They shouldn't serve the dish if they don't have the key ingredients

The spicy rigatoni vodka pasta is everything! Sooooo good. The Italian donuts were great too (wasn't able to snag a photo of those). They reminded me of beignets.

North Italia is great place if you're looking for an Italian food restaurant. Whether you want to go for a special occasion, casual lunch, happy hour or brunch, North Italia's ambiance delivers on all. The food is consistently good quality and well presented. The service can be a hit or miss, but more times is usually good. Definitely a solid choice of you're in the area or want a little break from shopping.

I usually love this place but I went there for lunch and didn't have a great experience. We waited at least 30 minutes for our food. They didn't have one dish on the menu. One dish was cold and the sauce for another dish was very watery. The waiter even said that was not the normal consistency of the sauce. Also the music was so loud I felt like I was at a disco. Also the booth's are not very private because you can hear the person talking on the other side. I think that's why they put the music so loud.

We really enjoyed our delicious brunch off the Culinaria Week menu. We started with huge cups of coffee and banana coffee cake. This alone was enough for breakfast. So good! Our server asked if he could take the leftover cake. No way. Those few bites are going home with me for later! Next, my husband had breakfast carbonara pasta (w/the over-medium egg on the side) and I had Breakfast Rosa pizza (w/the over-medium egg on the side). Both were flavorful and unique. We were pretty full though so we have lots of leftovers. It's a three-course meal, so we chose the Italian doughnuts to go. I snuck a bite and yum! The ambience is beautiful and the service -- perfect! Santiago was friendly and attentive. And he also took our compliments in stride. He looks and sounds like he could be a model or actor and we told him so

The food at North Italia was delicious, with fresh ingredients and well-prepared dishes. The outdoor seating area was lovely, offering a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. However, the service was quite slow, which took away from the overall experience. With a bit more attention to timing, this could easily be a 5-star

Last night, my long-time neighbor and friend, Michele, made reservations for us to have dinner at North Italia at The Rim to celebrate my birthday. We made it to happy hour but found out it was only at the bar area.Michele had a Malbec and I chose a well drink with cranberry, pineapple, and vodka. Michele ordered the Cacio e Pepe Arancini for us to share. I had never had arancini before and it was very good. Michele had the Chef's Board, a charcuterie of many goodies. I chose the Squid Ink Tonnarelli, which had shrimp and calamari with squid ink pasta. All the food was great and Alonzo's service was on point. For dessert, we chose the Tiramisu. Perfect ending and complimentary to celebrate my birthday!Perhaps I'm showing my age but the only issue I had was that the music was pretty loud and it was difficult to hear our conversations.

The food and extremely slow service were not worth the price. The pizza dough was very tough to chew. The tiramisu's flavor was bland and very dry. The only thing that that stood out were the donuts with what essentially was strawberry jam. However, warmed they'd have been perfect.
