Monky’s Torta

Hands down The Point Park has it made with "Monky's Torta!" The food is hot and made to order. The many times my family and I have came here we are greeted with a friendly hello and I think they know our exact order by now We've tried the taco as Al pastor, asada, birria and two of their signature tortas and everything is well seasoned and fresh. The main highlight I may say...THE SALSA ROJA IS SOOOO SPICY AND DELICIOUS Music playing in the background, eating tacos and sipping on a nice cold beer is definitely an ambience

Love this place. I typically gravitate to the tacos (Bistec and chorizo is my go to)! But, as the name implies, their Tortas are amazing!The owner is super nice too. Always has a smile. Pick whatever you want, it WILL be delicious!

The birria tacos from here are delicious. The broth is delicious and the tacos are nice and crispy. I will be back!My only complaint is they didn't give me the jalapeños I paid extra for :(

Street tacos come with cheese, cilantro and onions. I requested no cheese and grilled onions. The salsa pairs amazingly. You must stop by!

I decided to try this food truck out at The Point Park out by Boerne Stage! I highly recommend this place if you head out here. The street tacos were pretty standard for Al Pastor Street Tacos and so I enjoyed them! They are a bit more expensive ($11-12) than some other places, but still are really good. I loved the Locas Fries! They kind of reminded me of chili cheese fries, but with a Mexican twist. These fries are loaded with chorizo and topped with bacon and nacho cheese that you get at concession stands or movie theaters. Jalapeños are placed on the side in a little cup. Since this is a part of The Point Park, there are picnic tables all around and I think live music depending on the day. I really recommend this place! It was a super cool environment and good food.

Looking for a big, sloppy, once you start you can't put it down, monster Torta? Then try out Monky's! The owner is Mexico City and wanted to bring this type of Torta to San Antonio. The Monky Fries are loaded up and the combination of asada, cheese sauce, and pico de Gallo is a winner! Food: let me start of that this food truck is off to a good start. Being Mexican I have eaten many tortas both in Mexico and in the United States. My issue was that the bistek tortas was under seasoned, not sure if the bistek was not marinated or if it was poorly seasoned but it had no flavor. The lettuce and tomato were fine the bread was not toasted on the inner side either with mayo or butter. The fries are mediocre and the cheese is the generic white mozzarella that has not flavor, it's not even Mexican white cheese. It feels like they have the correct idea but the wrong ingredients. Even the canned jalapeño were tasteless, that means they are buying the cheep kind. Jalapeño are to add spice but they also add that tangy flavor of the vinegar they are pickled in and this was not the case here.Cleanliness: the young man upfront was taking payment and was the cashier yet he was not using gloves when he was transitioning from payment to sprinkling onions and cilantro on food items, he was using his bare hands and not washing between meals prepared. Drinks: the aguas frescas they have a powdered kind that get mixed with water- dude talk about cheap big time. Every Mexican know that powered aguas frescas is bullshit! The word literally translates to fresh waters. Nothing fresh about powder!Price: the items are overpriced for some really underwhelming food, the tortas are a 5 dollar torta at best, the aguas frescas are an average 1.00 drink yet they sale it for 5.00 I get it running a good truck is expensive and I don't mind paying the prices posted but the food needs to also deliver the expectation.

Monky's serves one of, if not THE, best burger in SATX. Every time I go to the Point Park with all its options I still get the same double smash and fries and Monky's and its the best. I try a lot of other popular burger places and yet to have found a place that makes it as good, and I love the grilled jalapeño!

Love Monky's. Everything is great but the birria tacos, pastor tacos, beef tacos, pastor nachos (any nachos), and burger are my go-to's.

The food was delicious, one of the best Tortas I have ever had. In a great location to bring friends and family!
