Momo House - Nepali Styled Dumplings

The dumplings are really yummy and fresh. I really liked the pork filling, the inside was juice and I liked the kothey momo's the best. I really liked the dip that came with the dumplings (I forgot what it was called) and I thought it really added to the dumplings.The workers were all really nice and explained the menu well. We were excited to try the agua fresca and got the tropical and kiwi blast agua fresca but they were a little disappointing. The food came out a little slow but they had board games on the tables so the time passed pretty quickly. The restaurant is also in a little corner store so it was really casual and we passed time by browsing around.

The restaurant is located inside a gas station so you never really know what to expect but overall it was clean and bright. I've only had Nepali dumplings a couple times before so I'm definitely not an expert, but the dish itself was pretty good. The dumplings were fried. The noodles had a good spice and flavor to them. I just wish they had a little bit more sauce. I would go back to try the soup dumplings.

Everything was so good! We got a little bit of everything, and it was all so good. I couldn't tell you which ones I liked more. We ordered this online, and it wasn't too long of a wait either. It was a little sketchy at first since it's attached to the gas station, but never judge a book by its cover.

After visiting @suckittherestaurant, we headed to @momohouse_nepalistyledumplings to buy dumplings to eat for lunch on Saturday.I called in our order of Juicy Pork Steamed Momo and Kothey Pan-Fried Bison Momo. The gal at the counter (I should have gotten her name) was so nice and offered a fountain drink on the house for the wait. I got the Gatorade lemon lime to go. We truly enjoyed both types of dumplings. Very tasty! My hubby made a soy-based sauce for it, which paired well with the dumplings.I saw them at The Pearl Farmer's Market on Sunday so you can also get them there. It was my first time trying Momos so I'm not sure if I simply do not prefer Momos, but I thought the food we ordered was alright at best. We ordered Chili Chicken, Chow Chicken, and Juicy Pork Momos. The Juicy Pork Momos were the best although I wish they came with a sauce rather than just plain. The seasoning for the chow chicken Momos was good, but the noodles were a bit lackluster themselves. As for the chili chicken Momos it was spicy, but also only tasted like one flavor profile. We also got samosas which were very delicious. They are large and puffy, crispy on the outside and pair very well with the provided duck sauce. The service itself was quick--we ordered to go--and the place is located inside a gas station. There are plenty of seats to sit down at despite that.

This is inside a gas station convenience store which made the experience very casual. We were greeted with friendly smiles and the ladies were happy to explain the menu. We ordered the 3 for $25.99 which is 30 momos. That was more than enough. We also had the strawberry aquas Fresca in a pouch. It was like an adult capri sun and it was tasty. The momos were different and not what we were expecting and to try it one time was enough for us. The dipping sauce helped and was flavorful. I will say there were lots of people ordering for take out.

We ordered 3 plates for 25.99 and it was more than enough for the two of us. Juicy Pork 5/5Chili Pork 5/5Street Pork 3/5When you walk in you order on the left hand side of the convenience store. There are more tables than we originally expected so eating in is most certainly possible. After placing our order we were told fountain drinks were free if we wanted one during the wait. It did take about 15-20 minutes for the food to be ready, but on each of the tables there are board games and card games so the time passes. The food comes in small plastic round containers that are great for transporting. We ended up eating at the nearby Gorrell Park since the weather was good. We adored the Juicy Pork Momo, it was classic and done particularly well. I liked its simplicity. The chili Pork was delicious, however, it was maybe a 3/10 on the spicy scale which was a bit of a disappointment if you're looking for spicy food. The Street Momo was a plain, peeled-back version of the Chili Pork Momo, so it was way less impressive than the others. With the Street Momo you can taste the fried almost pastry-like encasing and it's a sweet change up from the others which could be appreciated. I think each Momo had enough variation to be interesting and offer up something to the meal. I think I will be coming back.

Absolutely the best food!! Six of us visited on Saturday 2/8/24 and basically ordered the entire menu! The dumplings were amazing!! Flavors mouth watering good! Large portions. You definitely need to try Momo House.
