Pro: It was hot and not that greasy. Con: I did not order chorizo and fries...but that's what I got. Conclusion: I have ordered and enjoyed this taco before. Tortillas not too think and handmade. Don't know what went wrong here. Tacos to go involve a blind trust. You trust the aluminum foil will only reveal hot goodness and it bad surprises. I feel the trust was betrayed.

This place has been here since forever literally a hole in the wall kinda place . Parking is in front of the restaurant and some addition parking is located across the street . We ordered and had our food within minutes and it was fresh, the tortillas are beyond fluffy and so good !! Prices are really affordable and service is excellent.

Being from San Antonio I consider myself a Mexican food snob. Lol. I have a favorite spot for enchiladas but my dad insisted we HAD to go try a east side staple...aka Mittman's. This is a little mom and pop, hole in the wall establishment but don't judge a book by its cover! This place is good! I tried the enchilada plate (one cheese, one beef) - I would stick to all beef in the future. I also got my all time favorite, carne guisada with cheese - very flavorful just needs a little salsa. Outside of the food the staff was great, you felt right at home. You can tell this place has been in the neighborhood for years and I hope it continues to be!

Amazing hole in the wall. It's a Mexican restaurant so no dates, no Alcohol, No needles fancy stuff. Just pure budget Mexican goodness. It's on the Eastside and its Mexican So it doesn't have modern accommodations like diets or gender neutral restrooms. (You Should Never Expect That From A Mexican Restaurant...) If you are willing to go than It is a real treat that doesn't take much out of the wallet. The stuff like the chips and chicharrones are probably hand fried. And that makes it just plane amazing. Everything has that homemade feel. And they get the proportions just right. Not too much egg. The perfect amount of everything. There is a good reason why this is on top when you search for refried beans. In general the food is just amazing long story short. I would highly recommend this.

Food is not fine food it sucks !!! mary is always slow and unorganized when it comes to paying for my order then the pricing is outrageous for a small in a hole place you gotta be careful because she will try and overcharge you !

Outstanding food and service! Mama always has our food hot and fresh .... Her husband cooks in the back and has been for yearsssssss mittmans is delicious

Hands down the best Mexican food in San Antonio. Nothing FANCY , but it's definitely authentic food.

Four tacos came out to 21 dollars and some change. The person at the register is over charging.
