I came here for dinner for a large crowd. Also, if you have a large party, they only allow you for you to be seated if more than 50% has arrived. It's deceptively large inside. Outside, there were a few local vendors selling jams, breads, toys for kids, I thought that was a nice touch. We got margaritas at the bar, they were huge, the consistency of the ice was nice and creamy, a lil strong, very tasty. I got the soft taco with beef fajita. The meat was tender, flavorful and everything was great. The service was good too, she was attentive and polite. They had large TVs with college football playing, good for the sports fans.

1/1525As soon as you walk in, it smelled horrible (assuming it came from the restrooms at the entrance). We ordered the chicharon de ribeye and the steak tasted old; a very unpleasant taste. Then our food came and the fish tacos didn't come with the avocado slaw advertised and the beans & my guac looked old. Definitely not a fan.

I've eaten here several times over the last year for a family party, a corporate event, and a couples date night.Service was consistently friendly and helpful and wait times for food were never too long. Many folks in the different groups raved about the food, and several others thought it was just fair. Diversity of opinions reigns!Servings were generous, sauces were well seasoned. The gold standard cheese enchiladas with rice and beans was good! Overall, I've give it a good rating, just not MY favorite Tex-Mex in town.

I totally forgot to take pics of the chicken and beef fajitas we ordered. I love it here! Always my preferred Mexican food place and the bakery much better than the overrated La Panaderia. The service always pleasant. We had to change our food order from dine in to take out. Not an issue. Packed our food on time and with care. The decoration is like the downtown Mi Tierra only this place is less chaotic than the original location.

This place is great for large group events. We had a separate room for about 25 people, which they were very well prepared for. The decorations were fun too. Almost everyone got a different enchilada dish and a margarita, and everyone enjoyed it.

First timer to this location! Food was good. Similar to the Market Square location. The Chilaquiles didn't disappoint. My lunch partner got the chicken tortilla soup, not pictured and there lots of the bone tendons in it as well as some tripe meat from the menudo....The service was great. Our food came out quickly and piping hot! There is a small selection of pan Dulce. Definitely good enough to come back. And there wasn't a crazy wait like downtown and plenty of parking!

They have done a great job of capturing the ambience of Mi Tierra downtown! My wife and I have been several times now and each time the service has been impeccable! My wife loves the enchilada gravy and now the beef/shrimp combo nachos! I'm diggin on the tamales extra crispy with a bowl of charro beans!!!! And the Pan Dulce!!

27 August 2023Pretty much like Mi Tierra. Instead of a Selena shrine, they have one for Mr. and Mrs. Cortes. A bit pricey. My plate the Michoacán, is $20.95. Chunks of marinated pork, rice, guacamole salad and charro beans. I would have liked to order the cabrito, but $31.95 is a bit cost prohibitive. The food tasted good, like so many other Mexican restaurants. Service was fine. Our server checked on us periodically. A piano player and a mariachi band was on hand to entertain. The bakery is very much like the one at the Mercado. Had to take some empanadas home! It's worth a try, but is very similar to Mi Tierra.

I'm shocked by the low ratings of this restaurant! I came here for breakfast with my. 22 year old daughter and received great service from Antonio! Very kind and attentive. We loved our breakfast meal (Mexican chorizo and eggs). We also ate a conchita with coffee. Best one I've ever had. Soft in the inside and didn't fall apart with a crispy sugar crust. The ceiling has new decoration banners installed and music was pleasant and not too loud. Definitely, my go to for a nice sit down breakfast or bakery pickup.
