First, the chips and salsa brought to our table pre-meal were terrific. Be careful not to overdo on these perfectly prepared tostadas. I ordered the chilaquiles on the Sunday brunch menu. Fantastically prepared. My sister had the fish tacos. They pecked salt and perhaps the slaw underpowered the dish. Adding green salsa really spiked the flavor. Great service and love the Tlaquepague style ambiance. I look forward to trying more items at Mezquite.

Gorgeous space inside Pullman Market! Love the decor and the huge tropical plants in this restaurant. Beautiful, large bar in the front of the restaurant. Good drinks!! like other reviews said, maybe there's a little wait for them when they're busy, but you can wait/hang out and even be served in their lounge area (They have full service in the lounge and super comfortable chairs!). Food comes out very quickly from their kitchen. It's pretty hard to get a table during the weekend nights at 7 pm, but we've noticed on Friday and Saturdays at 5:30/6 there is space in the lounge area or you can make a reservation if you want a table. We liked their nachos, guacamole, carne asada tacos (3 street taco sized tacos per order), margaritas and side of ranch beans. I saw some reviews saying the prices were too high, but the food is really amazing and the restaurant is beautiful. Highly recommend if you're a bit hungry/thirsty before or after Pullman market. Don't miss the little gift shop next door as you exit Pullman!

The food was very good, but the service was poor.We were a 4-top celebrating a birthday (my cousin). The host/hostess stand was very kind and sat us immediately. However, once seated, we were not greeted for (I kid you not) 14 minutes; not once did the server say "oh I'll be right with you all". Then, after keeping us waiting, she gaslights us and says "I know you guys just got here and probably need time to look at the menu, but would you like something to drink?" Now I know many people will read this and think I'm being petty, but it's seriously frustrating to be manipulated in this way. Anyways, I figured I'd let it go and that the server is probably busy. As the meal progressed, the server would come to us only every 15 minutes, which seems like a short time, but we had been ready to order for a while now. The food comes and it's really tasty (except the rice was too hard and salty)! But I remained distracted by the bad taste of the poor service. What made it worse was seeing the manager help another table, but not ours. I couldn't help but wonder why the 6-top all-white table was being treated like royalty when we were having to wave down the server. I know this MAY have not been the issue, but one has these thoughts when it comes to a new restaurant in a semi-affluential area that already has a reputation of preferential treatment to certain... skin hues.At the end, I had to walk up to the server and manager to close out our tab, as we had been waiting for 20 minutes with dirty plates and had already declined dessert. The manager seemed annoyed by my action, despite my deliberate effort in not even complaining or anything... I just wanted to close out. In short, this place quite frankly upset me. The ambience and food was mostly great, but the service was so distractingly bad that it made the experience negative. I will likely still return, but I'll sit at the bar and see if the service is still poor. I'm sure they were just having a busy day and the server was spread thin, but an apology and acknowledgement of lackluster service would have gone much farther than avoidance to the issue.

Loved the drinks today. We only sat at the bar but the Paloma and old fashion were amazing. Good starters to the night of family and food.

Beautiful location, the restaurant is decorated great and it definitely does not feel you are inside a market when you are here. The service was excellent as well, they constantly refilled our water glasses and answered all questions on the menu. I ordered the huevos rancheros from the brunch menu and I was underwhelmed with my item. They were just okay. My husband ordered the caramelada (steak quesadilla) and his food was amazing. The portions are definitely not the typical San Antonio size I got full from my meal but my husband wanted some more food after. I also ordered the lemonade and that was super tasty. Overall nice spot to come and see

Beautiful new sit down restaurant inside of the Pullman Market space. We came for a weekday lunch and were quickly greeted and seated. Our server suggested some favorites and we ended up with barbacoa tacos (she said it's some of the best barbacoa in SA!), a carne asada carmela, and a side of charro beans. The chips and salsa to start were great! The chips were a little greasy, but so crisp and well seasoned. Food was awesome. Meats were tender and really flavorful. The guac on top of the tacos added a refreshing balance to the richness of the barbacoa. And it was nice that the carmela came with a side of pickled? Sauteed? Onions to cut through all the cheese. However it was the freshly made Sonoran tortillas that really set everything apart. The charro beans were a good side, the beans weren't cooked to mush and had a nice bite. We'll probably be back! We've been loving all the new eating options at Pullman Market

OVERVIEW: 3.5/5 but not good enough to round up. Food was flavorful and well done, though pricy for the portion and designed more like snacks vs. a full meal. Service was terrible, though I am trying to chalk it up to it being the busy holiday season. As a former service industry worker, I'm very understanding of circumstances, but waiting 20 mins. for our server to even greet the table and another 30+ mins. to get checked out once others cleared the table is a bit absurd. We ended up asking a food runner to get our checks for us, and he was very kind and helpful. Our server never once came back to our table. Overall, I don't think it's worth revisiting when there are other places in the Pullman Market and Pearl that offer better value experiences.QUICK FACTS:- Parking? Yes, they validate up to 2 hrs. in the Newell parking lot behind the Pullman Market closest to the restaurant. Other street/paid parking available around the Pearl.- Reservations? Recommended but not required! FOOD RATINGS:- [Complimentary] Chips and salsa (3/5): Chips were yummy but a little greasy. Salsas were simple and boring. A little heat but nothing unique or worth drowning your chips in.- Tuna Aguachile (4/5): This was really tasty, but the sauce was too salty. I love salt but it was a bit much. Fresh fish and great flavor profiles otherwise.- Carne asada quesadilla (4/5): Meat was marinated so well and so tender and flavorful. A bit greasy but overall yummy and the caramelized onions on the side were good but cold.- Potato flautas (3/5): Decent flautas, though toward the end they started tasting too salty.- Tuna tostada (4/5): Really tasty tuna! A little difficult to eat but really great and loaded generously with tuna.

The bar at Mezquite is so beautiful. It really sets the mood for the cocktails & cuisine offered, taking you straight to Sonora. The barstools were not the most comfortable, which kept us from staying for a second round, but I am wishing we had! The Midnight in Mexico was a striking cocktail-- rich flavors with the Cupreata Mezcal, earthily spiced with the Fernet-Vallet, and some kick with a hint of Ancho. It was one to sip and savor. Highly recommend if you like a Mezcal forward beverage.

We went to @nicosi_satx @pullmanmarket this past Thursday night for date night and though we were full from all the fantastic desserts, we felt we should eat some protein. Hubby and I went to the bar area which served select items from @mezquite_satx. We were served the complimentary chips and salsa and tried their Barbacoa Tacos. One order came with 3 tacos which was enough for us to share. It was plenty of meat but I was a little disappointed that it wasn't more moist. Perhaps it was an off night. The calabacitas and guacamole should have been what we tried as the reviews were raving for those items. Maybe next time.Hubby found free parking on Newell. There is a parking lot behind @pullmanmarket and your ticket can be validated for 2 hours.

Mezquite at The Pearl provided a great dining experience, with its prime location inside the Pullman Market and remarkable ambiance. Our meal was exceptional, with each dish showcasing its unique flavors. We savored every bite of the guacamole, aguachiles verde, elote, flautas de pollo, carne asada, & tres leches cake. The paloma I ordered was one of best I've had in town. The service was also great. Additionally, they offer validated parking and both indoor and outdoor seating options, making it a perfect choice for a date night or special occasion.
