Max's Roadhouse

The bacon on the BLT was cooked perfect and my son's cheeseburger received nothing but compliments. The shuffleboard is a fun addition. I removed one star because when I arrived to pick up my food, there was an issue and the order didn't make it to the kitchen so I had to wait an additional 20 minutes.

My wife and I recently visited Max's Roadhouse for lunch on a Saturday. The venue itself is quite cool with its rustic look and inviting outdoor seating area. There weren't many people there, just about five at the bar and us at a table, so it had a relaxed atmosphere.However, the service was pretty slow. We waited a considerable amount of time for our pizza, and when it finally arrived, it was room temperature with solidified cheese, indicating it had likely been sitting for a while. The flavor of the pizza was good, but it would have been much better if it had been served hot.On a positive note, we also tried the fried ravioli, which was really good and certainly a highlight of our meal.Overall, while the venue and certain dishes were enjoyable, the slow service and lukewarm pizza brought the experience down a notch.

Nice place in the Hill Country north of Highway 46. Wings were perfectly crispy. Service is excellent. Hill Country Margarita was excellent. Highly recommend coming here to just relax and get away.

I've been to Max's Roadhouse many times since they opened. Last night I went to watch a football game. The server was immensely attentive. I ordered the chicken quesadillas and was REALLY impressed! Their food in the past has always been typically sub-par bar food, but the quesadillas were honestly some of the best I've ever had. So much so, I sent two drinks to the back for the cooks!

The food is always good, the funnel cake fries are Amazing! There's always a smile when a server greets you and even when the place is packed it's a great time! Live music outside on the weekends and relaxing during the week. I highly recommend the Texas Sunrise!

It was our first visit and meeting up with family for a casual get together driving between San Antonio and Austin. The food was delicious and freshly made and the bartender and server were so sweet and welcoming. The fried green beans were tasty and I loved the homemade ranch dressing to dip it in. The Philly cheese steak sandwich and crinkle cut fries were so crispy and good. The cheese burgers were the most popular at our table and everyone said they were so good and flavorful. Looking forward to visiting again.

Food was great! We had burgers and BLTs. Fries are incredible! Service was friendly and quick. The only drawback is the noise. The music is too loud. The acoustics are terrible (metal building). It would be great if the ambiance was more conducive to conversation before 9:00pm and then crank it up. Just my opinion.

Great service, good food and nice staff. Good place to blow off some steam at the end of the day.

Margarita tasted bad and had a weird aftertaste. I only had two sips before I decided to stop drinking it. I returned it and the waiter didn't ask why or offered anything else. I later saw on the bill that it was charged a dollar more than the printed price on menu. Pizza was also not very good. My husband had a hamburger that he said was ok as was his beer. We will not return.

My husband and I stopped here while on vacation and had their Thursday night ribeye special. Hands down best steak of the trip... the service and atmosphere was excellent as well. 10 out of 10, highly recommend.
