Martinez Barbacoa Y Tamales

Solid barbacoa and what a deal. We were downtown at The Menger for Fiesta and wanted to take advantage of our location since we leave far north. After a quick search on Uber Eats, we came across Martinez'. They had an excellent offer, so I called to make sure it was valid. The gentleman who answered was friendly and helpful, so we placed our order. Glad we did because our family really enjoyed it. It was 2 lbs of barbacoa, flour tortillas upon request, and salsa. There were no other trimmings provided like onions, limes, or cilantro, which would have been nice. Either way, we still enjoyed it and look forward to the next time we are in the area.

I order food through Uber Eats and their menudo is delicious and tamales are amazing! Highly recommend!

Verrry good barbacoa. Get onions and cilantro and add avocado slices and don't forget the salsa and Big Red!

Excellent selection of meats-of course barbacoa, Pork in green and red sauce, chicharrón in salsa and much more. tortillas, and salsa on our first visit. Very friendly and fast service excellent deal. Very clean.

Ever since new ownership, this place has gone down. Customer service is terrible, and they are completely unorganized. Time to find a new place for barbacoa! Won't be returning.

This barbacoa spot is excellent! It was very easy to locate, multiple parking spots, and they are great bundle specials.

Delicious tamales! They ran out of the chicken before I came so I had the pork which were delicious. They were one of the few places who still had tortillas during this Hurricane Harvey mess (HEB ran out) haha. They were quick and friendly, I'll be back again!

Good tamales. The flavor was good. I would not say the best I've ever had, but definitely a B+. I like my tamales very moist and soft, not dry and flakey. These tamales were closer to my preference of being somewhat moist and soft. I probably will not return, because although the tamales were fine, the wait to get them and pay was a bit of a headache. There were only 2 people ahead of me in line, however, it still took about a very long 30 minutes to get to me.

Just moved in the area and decided to try them out... sad to say there was a big long thick black hair in my bean and cheese taco. I had already left and got home and had to drive back with my 7 month old son and I didn't get no apology just a replacement taco not even an offer for a refund. Tacos are a bit small, however the barbacoa taco was filled nicely. Probably won't visit for tacos maybe just the barbacoa family deal they offer.
