Came here for Culinaria Week because they had the best lunch specials of all the restaurants we checked out. This is a bit of a drive for us because we live in Selma, about 25 minutes and it was well worth the drive. The environment is very bright, open, and clean. I thought the restaurant was brand new and was surprised to hear they've been open for a year. We were greeted quickly by our server Nautical. She was really nice and did a fantastic job assisting us even though it was just her 4th day on the job.We order the empanadas and mambo style shrimp for our appetizers. The empanadas had a nice crust and filling was tasty. The mambo shrimp is you peel em but the GM stated you can also order them already peeled. The sauce that is served over the shrimp is DELICIOUS! Even more incredible when you pour it over rice. The GM stopped by our table to check on our experience, which is rare nowadays, as we were sampling our appetizers. Thankful for the added effort on his part. For our mains we ordered the Mambo #1 (fish and shrimp) of which my pic is missing 5 because I ate them before the pic. Batter was nice and light and zero grease. Cooked to perfection! My wife had the grilled Monterey chicken and it has a nice Smokey taste to it. Equally as impressive as my meal.We were stuffed partway through our mains so we asked for to go boxes and dessert to go as well. Both the tres leches cake and chocolate cake are very good.The value, quality of food, and attentiveness of staff were all outstanding. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

I recently visited Mambo Seafood, and it was an excellent dining experience from start to finish. I ordered the fried whole red snapper with fried rice, and it was delicious! The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and it paired wonderfully with the flavorful fried rice. My husband tried the grilled octopus with fried rice and fries, and he also enjoyed it--tender and well-seasoned, with the perfect balance of flavors.What stood out was the service. It was top-notch. The staff was attentive and friendly, and to make the experience even better, the manager personally visited each table to interact with customers. It's not something you see every day, and it added a personal touch to the visit. We'll be returning for more great food and hospitality!

I was at the restaurant yesterday and i ordered a whole red snapper. I instead of a whole fish I was expecting I received a fish missing the lower half of fillet. When i ask if this is the way the fish is prepared, I was told it was.I was very disappointed as the menu description states a whole red snapper . I feel I order a whole fish and I didn't get a whole fish .DISREGARD WRONG RESTURANT .WAS RFERRING TO SW SIDE OF TOWN

Lets begin with the rice!! Wow so delicious and comforting! While visiting our old stomping grounds we stumbled upon this delicious restaurant called Mambos and we were so delighted! The food was great and so were the drinks! I had a cucumber frozen mixed drink with chamoy. I also had the fried fish and shrimp plate that was delicious. The service was great and on top of things. The looks to the was restaurant was clean and well organized with great decor. The assistant manager came up to us and asked if everything was good and we let him know it was excellent! I definitely recommend.

From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. Every meal is made to order, and you can taste the quality in every bite. The margaritas are refreshing and the perfect start to the meal. I absolutely loved the crispy empanadas--so flavorful and the perfect size to kick off the feast. The new seasonal fideo soup was like a warm hug on a chilly day--comforting and packed with flavor. If you love a little heat, the La Diabla plate is a must-try, and don't even get me started on the Mas Mambo Rice--it's a game changer. This place has really good lunch specials for $10. They serve you a full plate of food. The service is amazing. Their drinks are pretty good for $6.99. It's a must try if you haven't already. It's the old Joe's Crab Shack location off 410/Callaghan.

First timer and I was pleasantly surprised. Came during lunch and the restaurant was very clean and super spacious. Bathrooms were clean and smelled great! Keep it up!The server was training and is not only being taught well but is super friendly and helpful. Very surprised to have seen the fish market area with all fish looking very fresh and on ice. They have a very large bar area too. Playground is a plus if you have kiddos!We had the #7 special and fish tacos. The taste of food is very fresh and has great spice! Can use some plating help but that was probably the only issue. Great seafood for the pricing.

Visited this place since I was back in Texas and had eaten at Mambo's in south Texas like 10 years ago. The service was excellent and the manager even stopped by our table to see how our meal was going so that was nice. The overall experience was good and pleasant. The restaurant is very clean and looks remodeled in new on the interior and exterior. Ambiance is Mexican Marcos type of restaurant. As for the food the shrimp cocktail is served a bit different than most restaurants. It's served on a plate with cocktail shrimp and a little bit of red sauce which I'm guessing is a Clamato/cocktail type of sauce. As for the whole tilapia which I had was good and had good flavor. The rice was delicious and if you know Mambos they are known for their shrimp fried rice and as always it was delicious! If you are in the mood for Mexican type of mariscos or seafood, this is a place you should consider. Is it awesome? Probably not awesome but it's good and will certainly hit the spot. What might be lacking is a bit more food even if you have to raise the price. The rice portion was a bit small. I would visit again!
