12 Jan 2025Try their chilaquiles plate. So good!Your choice of red or green chilaquiles are served with fried potatoes and refried beans. No tortillas with this plate. That's OK. I've had both the red and green. While both are good, I prefer the green (tomatillos). Actually, next time I may ask to have half red and half green as some other restaurants do. Divorciados, I think they're called ha, ha. Anyway, just go there. We've never had anything we didn't like.

On a cold drizzly day, coffee, delicious Menudo, huevos rancheros, carne guisada with papas and beans, and the company of a good friend really brightens a gloomy day. The menudo comes with pata -pigs foot and really has that Unami feel in spades.

Friendly service, well plated and very good quality food. Never been disappointed with anything I ordered. My wife loves the cinnamon coffee. Special place for us after church and during the week. I watch the special board to see what is next to try.

Mama's kitchen was ok. But in their defense I went late in the day, after 12:00pm. I was told by one of the customers not to tell anyone about the restaurant so it can be kept a secret, which made me think the food would be off the charts. As stated above, it was ok. I'll try again, not so late in the day, in hopes of getting a delicious, hot, fresh breakfast. When I do, I will update my review

Found this place just driving around, they are usually the best finds! Parking in the back- menus available at table with QR and we ordered at the front. Cute small and very Friendly staff! Homemade corn tortillas great as well. We will return!

Lovely family runs this place, always with a heartfelt smile. I visit once a week and take family when they visit from out of town. Their chicken caldo is so good and the place is extremely tidy.

Very clean gaily decorated space with excellant personable service. Easy parking. Large menu or create your own request. Have never been disappointed in the food. Best Mexican I've found in San Antonio. Prices are very reasonable.We head there several times on each of our regular visits to SA.
