Mamacita's is one of the best places to go for parties! They have a large dining area and a separate dining area that can be used for larger groups like baby showers etc.The food is good, the tortillas are made fresh and you can watch them make them in the tortillerilla. The decor is unlike any other local Mexican restaurant.

The green sauce which I normally LOVE tasted mainly of sour cream, so disappointed.Caesar salad was NOT a Caesar, it actually was Romain lettuce, croutons, red onions, drenched in Italian dressingBlackened Snapper was not fresh, had an odd taste.The baked potato was old and burnt The fried shrimp dinner was good, again the baked potato was old and burntOur server was wonderful!

My wife and I frequent this restaurant about once a month. Love the ambiance, service is always good, food is decent. My only gripe is that they use these tiny drink glasses. After filling them with ice, I finished my drink in two gulps. Turns to needing a refill and another and another. Waiter is nowhere to be found. This is actually enough to keep me away from this place. Come on Mamacitas, time to step it up.

The food is good I love the green creamy dip for chips! It's great for kids too with the arcade area and 0.25 candy machines. The only thing is service can be slow. They are helpful to get to you if you ask but just wish it'd be a bit quicker. Something to keep in mind if you have little ones.

When in Texas, you want authentic Mexican food & flavor. I loved the location and the ambience. I enjoyed how beautiful and festive interior. The enchiladas, fried beans & rice was delicious. You can't not pass up the array of delicious desserts. I chose cheese cake with strawberries and that was an excellent choice. This restaurant is great date night, corporate lunch or group meeting. Not sure why this place has less stars than they deserve. Came in at opening (11am) on a tuesday and was greeted by great decor, and nice staff. Tasty chips & 2 types of salsas. The flaming queso w/ chorizo is amazing. They accommodated and answered questions about allergies and are very educated on what products go into their dishes. Food was tasty. Highly recommend the beef fajitas, beef and chicken enchiladas, charro beans, grilled (you have to ask for that instead of fried) tacos!Service is great and lots of spacious seating. Will definitely be back.

This was my first visit to Mamacita's Restaurant and overall it was good. My first impression was a guy driving around on golf cart in the parking lot and then saw huge signs posted about vehicle crime. I got really nervous and moved my car closer to the door hoping would be safer. The outside is extremely nicely designed as a Mexican architectural style. The inside was just as nice and looked like a Mexican courtyard with different cafe fronts and starlight dark ceiling. It was very attractive.There was a bakery, bar, entertainment area with games to play including play to win a giant life sized plush bear, and tortilleria. I was here for a family get-together and the staff was very nice. I ordered the Crispy Tacos (Chicken) where the menu described it as; three seasoned shredded chicken tacos in crispy shells with cheese, lettuce, and tomato.The place was very roomy and with the high ceiling was not to loud. I ordered a regular frozen margarita and it was delightful.The three chicken tacos was very tasty having a nice flavor and the taco shell was crispy. The sides were Mexican rice and charro beans. They were also not bad. I even got a big scoop of avocado to add to my tacos. The taco shell it was on was not very good but mostly for decoration.Mamacita's was a great place for a large family group and it anyone had a birthday then would have a Mexican hat placed on your head and the staff sing Happy Birthday to you. And our vehicle was fine and the security guy driving around in circles in the parking lot.

One of my favorite places to go in San Antonio. I love the complimentary chips and salsas! The food is always good and so is the service. Ample seating and lots of interesting decor to look at. Parking lot is a good size and they have security patrolling at all times.

Visited this place for the first and probably last time last week. The design of the restaurant is very cute! And the service by my waitress was excellent. However, the food is mediocre at best. The queso was bland. The enchiladas were made with cheese that was solid on the inside instead of being nice melted and soft when you cut through. The rice and charro beans were not full of flavor. None of my cravings were met- next time I will go to a hole in the wall mexican restaurant instead. Lastly, I was rushed out of the restaurant before closing time! It was 924pm when a different waitress came to tell us that closing was in 6 minutes (despite the internet saying 10pm and a 5-6 tables filled with seated guests in another section). So, my friend and I left but I didn't do so without checking in with another waitress in a different section on my way out who confirmed closing was at 10pm!!
