Mad Mack's Burger

Don't miss Mad Mack's! If you're in the area and you enjoy burgers and dogs you can't go wrong here. Great people and great food make this a must stop spot if you're hungry. Mad Mack's is unpretentious meanwhile entirely warm and inviting. The fries are hot and crispy. The burgers are smashed and flavorful. The dogs are smothered in toppings and delightful. Absolutely love grabbing a meal here!

So glad my wife snagged me from the house to go get lunch today at Mad Mack's!!! Been craving a solid, homemade kinda burger and they sure as heck got it here!!Cute little mom and pops in the south/southeast area of town. Customer service is above and beyond. Super kind and polite. Very sweet people!! That alone would get me back. But then my massive, double patty, bacon and jalapeño burger arrived and I was blown away!Huge, hot, juicy, just delicious!! They said to me "once we get ya, we got ya." Well, they got me 100% going forward!! Everyone needs to swing by and give this place a shot. Oh yeah, they're pretty dang fast too.

To start I almost missed it driving by. A small establishment off the side of the road. Has an old diner/ burger joint feel to it as you walk in. The service is polite and very welcoming. The music is awesome because I like old 60's/70's music. You walk in and head to the counter, order and then they assign you a table. I ordered the Mad Mack. About the size I thought, and I'm sure just as messy. The fries are well seasoned. I was correct the burger was fantastically messy. I will say I was not impressed as I was hoping the taste. The menu says Mack season or sauce, I tasted nothing more than the grease. I tasted a lot of salt on the burger which could have been from the bacon but still I think there was an excess. The fries were the best part of this meal, and to be honest the fries were not that great. They were not fried the way I prefer but for some they might be great. I liked the atmosphere, the service, and the potential of what could be here. Now, I only had one meal. From what I seen was people coming in and ordering their favorites. So, maybe check it out and get something that may be good. I will have to come back at a later date to order and try something else, I'm hoping my review will change.

Amazing burger and fries. The cowboy burger has sausage and cheese and an amazing burger on a slightly buttered bun that is fantastic. The burger by itself will fill you up. The french fries were fresh and extremely tasty. No need for ketchup or anything else.Because this meal was delicious just by itself.You'll need to pay before you get your order and then take a seat afterwards. This is a homestyle family run restaurant. It's clean and meat and very popular with locals. The exterior is not much but the food and service make up for the exterior.

After walking through some missions while in SA, we were looking for a place to eat- and previous yelp reviews did not steer us wrong. Right when we walked in we were greeted. I'm assuming the couple working are the owners and they were super sweet and friendly. We ordered two bacon blue burgers, two hickory burgers- one we added a fried egg to, a hot dog and a kids grilled cheese. The food came out super fast and was fresh. Definitely will add this place to our list to return when in SA.

Very good burgers!! I had the cowboy burger, it didn't have too much sauce on it so it wasn't dripping everywhere. We also had the bacon cheeseburger and a grilled clucker. Big portions and all very tasty!

Return visit on Saturday. Restaurant smelled like sewer. Hamburger patty tasted like prepackaged patties...like the ones we used to get in the school cafeteria. Disappointed!

This 2×4 drive through burger palace was a pleasant surprise.This review is written after 2 drivethroughs.First ordered double all american 2 hander burger with swiss cheese with an order of rings.Next time had the hickory burger. Both burgers were stellar!Meat is fresh prepped daily,never frozen,all ingredients are fresh tasty, buns are delivered 3xs a week from a secret bakery in Houston. Reasonable prices for best burgers in town,will not disappoint. Call ahead, made to order take about 10 minutes.Bon appetite!

It's the best I like the vibe of the place it's like a different time and the food is great I had no problems would recommend

Best burger around SA!! Services is always so nice and fast! My family and I love going to eat there.
