Fun place with fun people! We stopped by here, well, more than once and not just because it was right next to where we entered the Riverwalk every day. It's a nice place with lots of friendly people, we were quite happy with the service from everyone from the greeter outside on the "street" to the bartenders and wait staff. Everyone was very helpful and nice. Also, they do have Smithwicks, which is nice. I know that's not technically an English beer, but it's still quite good. It is a lively place and you can tell they're used to visitors as opposed to "Regulars" as much.We had beer and bites, like bread pudding and nachos, we didn't come here for dinner (this time). Food was good, though the bread pudding was quite sweet. I'm not saying I didn't like it or that it wasn't good -- but if you're expecting the more basic version of bread pudding, this isn't it!I did note the previous recent comments about the smell. One day I was there, I caught a whiff of it one time. The second day everything smelled just fine! The bathrooms a little small, but they're clean, and who comes to a pub for the bathrooms, anyway! There's obviously a lot of competition in this area for food and drink, but I have found my way back to Mad Dogs again and again, and maybe you will, too.

Staff were nice, accommodating and attentive. Inside the bar smells like vomit (someone complained about this issue 22 days ago, business responded, still smells), live entertainment was great, drinks were good. The food: Scotch eggs, fire! Chicken tenders were delicious but too well done for me. Mac and cheese had no flavor, bland and cold, could use salt for starters. Bread pudding was delicious, but whatever dried fruits you use, raisins or whatever, had a very powerful bitter taste to them. So, If they are raisins, they don't taste like that. They have a lot positive things going for them, but tighten it up, this could have been a lot worse. That's all folks!

Came here with a couple friends while exploring the Riverwalk at night. They stop serving food around 11 PM on weekdays? Can't remember the exact time so we just stopped in for drinks. Our server was really nice and he recommended some specific drinks to us. We got some mojitos (which come in different flavors) and the best one was peach. The atmosphere is pretty cool. Decor was very British pub and it's lively on weekends. They do have karaoke on Wednesday which is pretty cool and I think Friday was a dance party with a DJ. Service was good and it was one of the more lively places in the area at night, even on a weeknight. Can't speak for the food, but drinks were good and it's at a very nice spot on the Riverwalk. Shoutout to our waiter, Esteban, for great service and drink recommendations!

Okay .... I don't think the British are known for cuisine .... Fish and chips maybe ? I don't know . Food was regular bar food . They had fish and chips , salads , soups . Gigantic fried eggs . It was decent but I wouldn't go out of my way .

The batter on the shrimp and fish is so light and crispy. Huge servings. Service is spot on. The live music well... lets not dwell on that lol. There was no wait because the service is so fast.

Stopped by with a group of ladies for a happy hour drink. We ended up staying for 3 or 4 drinks. The t-shirts are cute so the ladies bought some. Our waiter was Jackson, and he was the best. He is a very nice young man and made our day

This was an alright spot for a bar on the riverwalk. Service does not come to you, you have to go to them to get something, which is not how things work in the hospitality industry. I just also happened to be very unfortunately that I went down a list of beers I'd want and they just happen to be tapped out of. There's definitely a lot better spots along the riverwalk to hang out over drinks.

I'm not quite sure if this place was attached or affiliated with the hotel I was staying at or not. It was right outside of the hotel on the Riverwalk but I still had no idea what was going on.This was another quick lunch spot, mostly because of the proximity to the hotel. With it being on the Riverwalk it also got us outside. In fact we had an outside table which made for a nice dining experience. We walked up and were seated almost immediately, but there was some confusion on who was to serve us. At first we thought we were forgotten, and a random server showed up and took our drink order. Then a different server brought our drink order and took our food order.I went with the Cottage Pie which comes with a side of peas. I usually go with Shepherd's Pie, but this establishment did not have that on the menu. Most likely because there was nothing else on the menu that utilized lamb, so stick with beef and you get Cottage Pie. The potato topping could have been a bit more, but it is what it is.When I say that this was brought out piping hot, I scalded my mouth on the first bite. I will give it to them here, it was fresh out of the kitchen. The peas were a nice addition, but I think they could have just been added to the Cottage Pie instead of on the side.

Cruising the Riverwalk one night, I decided to give this place a try. It was fairly busy for a weekday evening. But I pulled up a stool at the bar. The bartender was quick to serve and also gave me a menu to look over. I wasn't really hungry but definitely saw a few items on the menu that I wouldn't have minded trying. I just stayed with my beer as I watched a semi-final European Cup soccer match on one of their many screen.I really enjoyed the atmosphere here. But it seems like everywhere I go, if there's a British pub, it's busy! Guess us Yankees like them. FYI: this place charges a 3% credit card fee if you charge it. I've now seen both flat fees and percentage charges if you use a credit card. I definitely don't agree with this "new" charge I've experienced at a few places. There is no parking that I know of. You have to find a spot on the street or use one of the public lots if you're not staying at one of the riverwalk hotels. Midweek and in the evening, it was a flat rate $8. But during the busier times, that would have only covered a couple hours of parking.

First let me say that this restaurant is right on Riverwalk and what a fabulous walk it is along the canal. Ok, I have had many scotch eggs, and I enjoyed this one by far the most ! The ratio of sausage to egg made the eggs so much more flavorful. Sometimes the sausage is overpowering but I thoroughly enjoyed this. The loaded baked potato soup had great flavor!Savannah was awesome and friendly and sweet. She constantly checked on us. Fabulous decor and inside and outside seating.
