Here from south Florida as my boyfriend lives in Texas took me to his favorite Puerto Rican restaurant the ambiance is beautiful the happy hour menu tapas are A ++++ if you are from this area or are visiting, you definitely need to visit this place! The service was superior our server was great the food was very authentic and great tasting food! Definitely recommend 100% great quality food!** please add coffee I definitely recommend after serving dinner that we are allowed to order a Puerto Rican coffee because this food is really fulfilling and a person like me likes a coffee after dinner!

Came with my Cuban family here and they all had a blast! They had live music playing and the drinks were really good! The service was nice, however, something that i think should improve is that the server took long to bring the drinks and there was a long period of time between check ins to make sure we didn't need anything else. Maybe they were short on servers that day, but thats something that i think should improve, because some of the drinks sat on the bar for a while before receiving it and they were watered down, and some of the food were a little cold. Other than that, I highly recommend this spot cor a latin vibe.

We stumbled upon this Puerto Rican gem while walking in the King William District. We grabbed some cocktails and watched the band set up. Our party sat across the bar from the dance floor and ordered a ton of dishes. We tried the Cubanito, Bendito, calamari, mofongo con camarones, la canoa, el condado, camarones ají, and patatas bravas. The camarones ají was a table favorite- shrimp was perfectly cooked and garlicky. The Cubanito was inhaled before we all got to try it, so I'd say it must have been pretty good but I have no personal knowledge :)I snagged guava and passion mojitos and highly recommend both! Our server's smile lit up our table and his patience with our crowd helped make our night even better. The vibe was upbeat yet chill, cozy and friendly while being open for possibilities. Go grab a drink, a bite, and see where the music sways you. (Maybe grab a cinnamon roll across the street at Cinnaholic!)

Saw this place online. It looked amazing. The inside of the restaurant was nicely decorated spacious, and the staff are friendly. The restrooms were clean and their service was excellent. I ordered the Chuleta can can, basically it was too huge pork chops. I could only eat one the plate also had rice and beans. It was very delicious. I will definitely have to try some different dishes there they all looked amazing, but if you're hungry order the chuleta. It can feed two people. The only cork I have was they didn't have a variety of good rum at the establishment.

This Puerto Rican restaurant was amazing! The pernil, arroz con gandules, tostones, and plantain chips were all flavorful and authentic--some of the best Hispanic food I've had in Texas. The ambiance and service were top-notch, and we loved the $6 happy hour cocktails. Highly recommend!

It's a unique type of food and the mixed drinks are delicious and fresh. We got seated quickly and service was good. I like that they had a happy hour and some appetizers to pick from like wings. The foods were just not my type but it was worth a try. It's a nice spot to bring visitors to the city.

During my time in San Antonio, albeit very short, I wanted to explore authentic, Hispanic cuisine so when our family friends invited us to join them at Luna's, I was excited. We got there around 4pm on a Saturday and there was parking available in their parking lot (it's a bit small). As we walked around the restaurant, I realized how big it was and it felt even bigger when we walked in. The host greeted us and walked us over to the table where our family friends were. They had already eaten so we sat at the table right next to them and looked through the menu. The menu was extensive but slightly limited on options for me so I asked the waitress if I could get sweet plantains, white rice and for the shrimp, instead of having it breaded, she asked the kitchen if they could make it with the spicy habanero sauce. Our food came out in about 10 minutes and the shrimp was delicious. My friend also enjoyed his wings and sandwich (forgot what he got). They have happy hour, even on the weekends and the menu isn't stingy either. You can get pretty full off one item and it's at a great price. The best part of the meal was the passionfruit/guava virgin mojito I got. It was so good I got two. The experience was really good and our waitress provided great service. Definitely a must if you're visiting SA and love Puerto Rican food.

Finally decided to come to their new in downtown San Antonio. The place is big, well decorated, and love that they sometimes have live band! The food is great and delicious! The waiter was super nice and he explained the menu very well. I had their lunch special and ordered passion fruit drink. The view from inside is amazing! Definitely, will come back for their lunch specials.

Solid 3.5 for Luna Rosa.Dropped in for lunch on Sunday. This is a revamping of the old Rosarios location. When you walk in, you will notice they made the room to the right into a little store. The rest of the restaurant (and bar) remains the same.We were seated and ordered some drinks. They have a capable mixologist. My cucumber martini was awesome in taste and presentation. Liz enjoyed her pina colada, and my mom downed her classic mojito. They have a couple of entrees on the menu that are titled with one name (like an associated municipality, or entree name) and with a description after it, which was kind of confusing. For instance, I ordered the Guavate (which was the pernil, or roasted pork). The entrees come with two sides of your choice. I had my pernil with black beans and sweet plantains. My mom had the mofongo (mashed plantains and garlic) with octopus. I thought it was kind of fishy, but oily, as it the octopus was fried and stewed in seasoning. The arroz with guandules (a side), was kind of dry, but it had good flavor.Liz seemed to enjoy her shrimp mofongo. The kids ate their grilled cheese sandwich (served in torta bread), and nuggets. I really need to expand their palates. If anything, it could do better in the service department. I feel the host was just making the rounds, and didn't want to be there or didn't want us to be there. Our waitress was okay at the beginning, but then disappeared once we got our food. It took forever to get our check. The restaurant wasn't that busy.If I'm in South Town and my group of friends were in the mood for a good Caribbean place, I would not steer them away from here. However, I would probably manage their expectations for service. Personally, I wouldn't be afraid to try other items on their menu, but they'll need to step it up.

Despite it being Valentine's Day, you could tell that there was no sense of organization in tonight's service. The food was OK, but not great, but what stood out more than anything was the poor service we encountered. As soon as we walked in at 7pm for our 7:30pm reservation, the hostess looked lost searching for our reservation. We sat in the waiting area next to the bar. I went and ordered two Mojitos for myself and wife. The bartender didn't look like he knew what he was doing until he mentioned that tonight was his first night. Took almost 20 minutes before I was served the drinks. My party arrived at 7:30pm and the hostess told them that it would be another 20 minutes before they would be seated. The hostess didn't bother to look up my name as my wife and I were already seated. It took about 30 minutes before our order was taken and another 45 minutes before the tapas came out. Fifteen minutes later (1 hour), our main course finally came out. It took another 45 minutes before our dessert came out and then another 30 minutes before we finally got our check. All this time, we were nevered asked if we wanted our water refilled. We got our mojitos refilled but didn't taste the same. No consistency. While waiting for all of our food, there was a party of 8 that was seated next to us. They ordered, ate and left before we even got our food.We had to ask on numerous occasions for our tapas, main course, and dessert. On top of it, they forgot the bottle of red wine that was supposed to come with it. We ended up taking it home.Again, there was no sense or organization with the wait staff and probably no organization with the kitchen either knowing how long we waited for everything. We made it out at around 10pm, but I'm sure if it wasn't for our party joining us, we would've been miserable. No reason why we should've been there for two and a half hours. This place has the potential to be fantastic, but the lack of organization will kill it down the road.Where was the manager of this restaurant the entire time?
