Los Porkys Tacos Tortas and More

We were recommended by a friend. What a recommendation, this place is good. The restaurant is just off Universal City Blvd. small restaurant space, but you can take it to go. The parking lot is small. So timing is everything Once inside, you have to order at the counter. There is indoor and outdoor seating. No beer, but sodas and tea. There is a large menu on the wall to read as you order. We got the street tacos and the quesabirria. Also got two tea to drink. The tacos came 5 to an order, we got two with tripas, one pastor, two with pork chop. The tripas were cooked medium, so not too soft or too crunchy. The pastor was not bad, the pork chops were a bit disappointing. Mainly because, I think they used ham and not a pork chop. I could be wrong. I ended up getting another order of Street tacos of Tripas. Yum. We also go the quesabirria, and wow. These were great. Three to an order, but they are stuffed. So these tacos are very filling. Came with onions, cilantro, a jalapeño, and lime wedges. Definitely going back to try more. We got chips and salsa, 4 different salsa to be exact. Ranging from mild to hot AF. ALL IN ALL, We are going back. Let me know if you go try it.

Food was good but a little greasy. The waiter was attentive and explained the menu and specials. There is enough space for various large groups or parties!

This vote i thought would be better. Size is not the issue. The Tortas are huge lots of meat and toppings however their was a strong char taste. At first maybe the bread with little blackened from the grill but after the 2nd half, I ate just the meat. The taste was still present. The meat itself lacked a good flavor taking into consideration pastor is marinated the cooked. The asada had the same lack of good flavor. Missing seasoning and maybe a dirty grill. That burnt taste was present throughout the torta. I wanted to so badly love it but it just was not there. The salsa were plentiful. In this case - size does matter cuz the taste is just not there. I can smell the char and my hand and still taste it in my mouth.

Unexpected! Great service, very tasty food. I had no idea this little place was even here. We just wanted to try something new, and googled around us, not expecting much as nit many places opened after 9pm. This place is opened till midnight on Fridays!Several sauces to choose from, all very good. We'll be back!

Birria tacos are amazing! Fast service and prices are fair across the menu. Delivery was fast and food was still hot! Authentic.

The food here is FANTASTIC! This is a VERY small place tucked into a teeny strip mall. The guys were all incredibly nice and extremely helpful when we were trying to decide what to order. I don't really remember what everyone got, but my sister and I each got a burrito that we customized to our liking. They were SO good! The only thing I didn't like was there were SO many onions in it. I usually don't mind onions, but this was excessive to me. I still ate the whole thing. They don't have fountain drinks, so we got iced tea or water. The spot is very tiny but extremely clean. The guys were all so helpful in finding us something we'd like and letting us customize it. The tortilla chips were fried right in front of us and were thicker than other places, but I liked them a LOT!They also brought over several sauces in squeeze bottles and explained what each one was. The portions are HUGE, so we all were stuffed and still took food home. I can't wait to go back!

The servings for this place are so big! Ordered birria tacos, steak quesadilla, and nachos and they were all good! The service was awesome! The guy that took my order was so nice. Noticed that even when he brought the food to other customers, he was just so polite and nice. The place is a great size, but we took our food to go. Did not get to take a photo of our food, but we will be back!

Great service and food! I ordered barbacoa mini tacos(5 well served) and they were made on double corn tortillas each. The tortillas seemed handmade, they were great! Before our order came out we were given chips and salsa, the chips seemed handmade because of their thickness. But delicious! They give u four different salsas, to my taste they could be better but 2 outta 4 had a good taste. The tacos also come with a cup serving of charro beans and a tostada for any extra trimmings left on your plate, GENIUS!! I did wish the horchata drink was cheaper, seemed a little steep($4) but the Barrilitos sodas are a good price so I ordered that instead. I definitely recommend the barbacoa mini tacos, I would order that again without a doubt:) It is a bilingual establishment and they do have mexican music playing which I loved:)

The service is amazing and restaurant isClean for sure! The food is not good sadly and I was looking forward to the food especially since I was told the tacos and torta were good, so my rate was based on service and ambiance. Salsas weren't good either. The tripas need to be well cleaned and cooked good, the pastor has no flavor. The birria sauce was tasteless. We were three and we all 3 tasted the same no flavor. Prices are reasonable but they really need to step up the kitchen cooking to taste his or her seasoning. Hope they get better, don't think we will be coming back

Guy at register was so so nice and helpful. He brought out our food to the car and let us know everything that came with our food. Chicken mini tacos were dry but what do you expect it's chicken. Torta was so damn good. Amazing service and amazing food :)
