The food truck was difficult to find because it is off to the side of an empty lot. Once you know what you are looking for the next time will be much easier. The food was tasty and fresh but the portions were massive. For $18 I got arroz con gandules, pernil and boiled green banana which is a decent price but ended up throwing away food because it was too much. I suggest offering half portions as well as full orders. The server was friendly and helpful. They were out of some things so go early.

Lenchonera La Broriqueña, a Puerto Rican food truck tucked away in Schertz, Texas, is a hidden gem that has garnered a loyal following among food enthusiasts. Despite passing by for years and noticing the consistently long lines, it wasn't until I stumbled upon their social media presence that I discovered its allure. Open only on weekends from noon until sold out, it's advisable to check their Facebook page for updated hours.Upon arrival, I found the parking lot packed with eager patrons, a testament to the truck's popularity. Offering takeout service exclusively, the staff delivers impeccable service alongside the incredible food. As a regular, my go-to order is the #2 with macaroni salad and an extra serving of rice to go. Their menu also boasts various options for enjoying their renowned lechón, from pairing it with yucca to green pickled plantains or the delectable macaroni salad. While seating is not provided, and there are no restroom facilities, the food's quality more than compensates for any inconvenience. One plate order easily satisfies the appetites of 2-3 people, with generous portions that can even stretch to multiple meals for some. The lechón is undeniably the star of the show, tantalizing taste buds with its irresistible flavors. Paired with their heavenly rice and scrumptious macaroni salad, each bite feels like a voyage to Puerto Rico itself. To conclude the culinary journey on a sweet note, their cheese flan and rice pudding are absolute delights, perfectly blending sweetness and richness. La Broriqueña is a must-visit destination for anyone in search of authentic Puerto Rican cuisine in the heart of Texas.

Very typical Puerto Rican food. We have arroz con Gandules, lechón asado, guineos en escabeche, I had an amazing passion fruit smoothie. I recommend the food truck.

This place is amazing! Been here at least 3-4 times, and have ordered food for the holidays from them too. The lechon is comparable to the best you can get in Puerto Rico itself. I've not had better Puerto Rican food in San Antonio. They are the standard.

I am from Puerto Rico and very picky about Puerto Rican food. The pernil asado is to die for. Extremely flavorful and tastes like my mom made it. Loved the arroz con gandules.
