Las Palapas

It was an evening that did not feel like cooking and decided to give this a try. I did not feel like going in and was thrilled this has a drive through. Drive through: painfully slow! It took 25 minutes! Food: portions are generous. The price is decent. The food for takeout was temperature hot. The food was just okay. The flavors were lacking. If you want mediocre nothing exciting Mexican food at a decent price and you are willing to wait a long time, give this a try. There are so many more better Mexican places. Taco Palenque is faster and better and not too far.

Dinner on a Sunday evening through the drive through- Painfully slow drive through and adequate foodFood: Decent portions and slightly better than average food. Beef fajitas were decent but by no means exceptional. Chicken enchiladas were decent but no better than average. Portions were generous, but the quality was lacking. Service: Drive through service is abysmal. Took about 25 minutes to get dinner through the drive through.

I ordered online a tortilla soup with everything in the side, and what I got a chicken soup , I called the restaurant and the manager the name Mathew want to take one dollar off, no sir, if I order a tortilla soup I want a tortilla siu

I have been a regular here for sometime. The food is always consistent so you know what to expect. Service is usually fair unless one of the old time guys are there and then it's great but I haven't seen any of those guys in some time. We went for lunch and already knew what we wanted. However, we never ordered. We waited, and waited at the hostess stand for 10 minutes. This all the while several waitresses walked past us making eye contact. One person in front of us was finally seated...and we waited and waited some more. Just was we were getting ready to leave one of the waitresses that had walked by us several times decided maybe we needed a table. To late. We were out the door. I surely hope this isn't becoming a thing for them, we really like this place...but service has been slipping lately. I hope they get their act together soon.

Another 25-30minute wait to be seated. With a bunch of empty tables. This is 2nd time has happened in past months. Likely short staffed. Went to LP at 1604 and 281 instead and sat down immediately while greeted by courteous staff. Much better service and ambiance.

This is "supposed" to be the Taco al carbon plate.....Very little meat, no cilantro and onions, no rice, and no queso Fresco!! All of which the menu says it comes with.After bringing this issue to the managers attention, he was able to remake the plate with the proper portions and ingredients, and Rice. However, only three stars because it should have been right the first time around.

Worst tacos I've ever had, you will regret ordering from here. Also do not order the lemonade it is not fresh and is minute made and they charge you 2.99 for it.

food was delicious and gave big portions of food. Jamal is a cook and went out of his way to help our table. even packaged our food for us and put it in the bag. He didn't have to help, but we really appreciate him going the extra mile to give us great service. He was also extremely kind and had a great attitude. We will definitely remember him the next time we come in.

This place is SLOW EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!!! I ordered queso and a margarita and I've been sitting here for 20 min already!!! It's a damn margarita!!!!! I want to know who the owners are! They need to work with their staff to be more efficient, APOLOGIZE when we are sitting and waiting so long!!! I kept coming because I actually like the food and if they were faster I would probably come a lot more. I can only imagine how much money they are losing due the slow drive through service! Insanity!!!!

Worst drive thru service ever. Have been here 5+ times and have waited in the drive thru anywhere between 25-45 minutes for TWO bean and cheese tacos and NOTHING else. And no one ever says "sorry for the wait". I am a waitress and I break my back every day to give good service to people, and this place is a disgrace. It really stinks because I love las palapas, but this location is just abhorrent. Now I go to the one on 1604 and NW military --the same order that takes 45m here takes FIVE MINUTES over there. Hope management reads this and feels ashamed at the quality of their service and employees and does something.
