I'm visiting from out of state and a relative suggested this place. Let me start by saying the service was great! The staff were all extremely friendly and attentive. Our order took forever to come out. Although I know things may happen beyond control... they made sure to keep us updated and brought out chips and salsa while we wait. I did notice others dinning around us (even those seated after us) received their meal pretty fast. As far as the food, I'm not a fan. Everything is more on the bland side. The queso was watery (I'm use to thicker queso). The salsa reminds me of store brand pace picante (not bad but I expected better). I did enjoy the house made flour tortillas. Bathroom is filthy, but the restaurant itself (from what I can see) wasn't too bad. Plenty of free parking in the lot. I highly doubt I would visit this place again simply because I did not like the food..... but Great job on the service!

A favorite go to for chicken soup. But, I would say take the drive to the forum because this was not worth the cost. The soup was more like consume, chicken with broth and not a vegetable, rice or anything else to try and help balance the high salt content in this broth with chicken. To top this off, the place the 2 larg containers on top of the enchiladas which I would say are already flat, but now it was more like pancakes with the insides squished out. On top of this we had a 15 minute wait to get this catastrophic meal selection. 8f my brother was hungry after his medical I would have missed this surprise. But, now we know.

I really did not know what to expect when I went here. This is Texas, San Antonio the foodies dream. I will say that the place looked a little run down and the menu was extensive for what I thought was a fast food place. I ordered the breakfast tacos because I just did not know what it was going to be like. The waitress was alright, I would not had gone out of my way to leave a tip. She brought food and drinks and that was all. I still to this day do not know if this is a restaurant or fast food.

Everyone I know was raving about the soups they serve here. I took two of the most vocal advocates of this joint to lunch. We ordered the soup. It was not great. Even the advocates admitted it was average.We tried again a couple of weeks later, in case we went on an off day. Still not great. Not impressed with anything ordered here. The staff is nice, but the food is just average.

FOOD POISONING!!!!!!Went through the drive though and got the enchilada con crema. Food tasted ok for the most part and service was fine. Woke up the next day at 5am and ran to the bathroom, after that it was a nightmare!!! Couldn't eat anything the next two days and liquid poop was coming out of me!!!! Felt like I was dying. Definitely not coming back!!!

I like to order from Las Palapas, the food is good; however I ordered from the Palapas app, as I work from home and was going to work late, thought I would order some food and pick it up. Thought I could go to the drive in and just tell them, they said I had to go in the front door and let them know I had placed an order online. Can you imagine my embarrassment, I was not properly dressed!!! No where on the app does it say you have to go inside to pick up an online order!!! Never again!
