Having lived here for over a year I finally checked this place out for my wife's birthday. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. They even helped me surprise her with a delectable tres leches cake for her big day.She got the house special trout with I believe the Veracruz sauce. She loved it and she is not a big Mexican food fan. Will be back for another big occasion or just because the food and service was great

Very nice place for a tasty meal. Plenty of choices on the menu, and some unique items different from the usual taqueria fare. Along with our usual chips and salsa, also got a very nice bowl of soup. Everything was really fresh and full flavoured, and the service was efficient and friendly. Very small parking space next to the restaurant, but it's next to a public park, plenty of parking around that space.

Las Guiterras is our family's favorite restaurant! Being from a large metropolis, we're used to top notch cuisine from around the world, so when we discovered this spot, we were thrilled and it's always our default for scrumptious Mexican fare.Not only is the food delish (with a huge variety), but the service and atmosphere are ALWAYS welcoming, kind and accommodating. Fernando, the owner, has such a warm soul, and it flows through every aspect of the restaurant.Our fave dishes in no particular order: Nogada (with the pomegranate seeds), tricolor enchiladas (Mexican flag), raspberry chipotle, seafood fajitas, fish tacos, shrimp with their butter sauce, ceviche, their guacamole is perfection and so is the seafood soup!If you're visiting Boerne, or live here and haven't been yet, my recommendation is to go for dinner, order their zesty margaritas (yes, they serve Lalo, but you have to ask for it), take in the historic decor, and listen to any one of the talented musicians who perform there, while you have a relaxed and refined meal. Run, don't walk!

I got the "burrito chile relleno picadillo." I love chile relleno so I knew this burrito was going to be delicious. It was nice and hot & the sauce on the burrito was yummy. The sauce seeped into the rice as well which gave it some added flavor. Their salsa was so flavorful! It had lots of cilantro and chunks of onion in it. It wasn't spicy at all, it could've used a little more spice to be honest.

Outstanding everything! Perfect drinks, beautifully prepared food with excellent seasoning and taste. Wonderful service, peaceful atmosphere. Overall, a must if you are in the area.

Great fun environment very relaxed atmosphere. The staff and the managers are super friendly. They have live music on weekends. We always order the guacamole fresco and add chicharones. They have a traditional Mexican menu. The margaritas are delicious and strong. I'll definitely be back.

Ive been here about 3 times now and I feel like its hit or miss. This is your standard Mexican or Tex-Mex food. Their brunch is good, lots of variety. They had icky enchiladas but the menudo was great! The refried beans and rice were okay but the crunchy taco was great! Their brunch also has omelettes made to order. The desserts were good. I usually like to give raving reviews but I couldn't do it this time.

This has become our go to for Mexican in the Boerne area. All varieties of their enchiladas are excellent. We routinely go there as well for their Sunday brunch which is amazing. Almost always have to go home for a nap after brunch as full as I am. The brunch has a tremendous selection of their usual things with food being refreshed regularly. Their omelette bar is excellent as well. If looking for something not traditionally Mexican off their main menu I recommend the raspberry chipotle chicken. Huge portion of excellent chicken breast over a bed of mashed potatoes. Definitely will not be hungry after this. Staff is always excellent and typically will see the owner making the rounds as well. Also often have live music which adds to the already relaxing atmosphere.

Service was not great. We came on a Sunday and since they had their buffet open it almost felt like we had been ignored. Waited 15 minutes just to place an order after we said we didn't want to eat off the buffet. It was bad enough the busser even came up and asked if we had been helped yet. After expressing our thoughts the owner came out and apologized and offered to make it right. The bread pudding is AMAZING!! I will give this restaurant a second chance

Food was superb start to finish! Incredibly tasty, good portion size. Service very good by Martine.My only suggestion is to have a few lunch size portions, smaller and less expensive.This was my second time in a month here from Kerrville. I didn't even consider trying another local restaurant as this 9ne is superb!
