Love these cookies, particularly those with the sprinkles. Also, the lemon flavored are not offered in many other bakeries - so it's a special treat!

GEN MCMULLEN LOCATION: Went to their location on Gen McMullen, just opened. The lady at the register was dealing with im assuming a commercial type customer, i say that, just because i stood there and listened to their entire conversation. Three other workers were there not one person acknowledged us. We stood there as the lady talked to the only other customer she was already helping. Talking to the workers. To us, nothing. Not a I'll be right with you, nothing. We walked out without ever even speaking to any of the 4 workers there. Our first time there, will never go back. Obviously they don't need our business.

Today is my second time to this bakery. I stopped off for breakfast tacos at a restaurant next door and thought some sweet bread would make a perfect compliment to the tacos.I'm working at the office on a Sunday so I'm trying to ease into my day. I finished up on my tacos and begin on the sweetbread. So good. the white concha is soft and practically melts in my mouth. Wonderful! While my order was being rung up, I observed their corn tortilla process in action. Masa top fed into the machine and the conveyor belt rolling off perfectly prepared corn tortillas. I liked seeing production in action. An ice chest in front of their counter has tortillas already packaged up and ready to go. I love the smell of this place. They know what they're doing. Wonderful bakery with an assortment to choose from.Who comes here? The locals who know where to get good sweet bread at an affordable price.

I wandered in here after leaving La Luz one Sunday morning and was pleasantly surprised. Beautiful fresh pastries/breads/tortillas, etc. all about me and locals standing in line. The baked goods are behind clear doors and there are about 10 tongs hanging in the center. I had to watch and learn what to do. You grab a tray, grab your tong and get your sweets. Take them all to the counter and they will place them in a bag for you. Upon paying I saw they have Barbacoa on the weekends. I will go back and try some, it seemed that was what was bringing allot of the local men to the counter. :). The location is in a strip mall (that looks abandoned) but there is Las Minas Cafe next door (which also looks good). The pastries/breads I purchased were very nice and I will be returning.

Best barbacoa ever!! You can tell the meat is cooked right as it has a somewhat gelatinous texture.
