Been coming here for years. The breakfast tacos never disappoint and the "taco enhancers" make them badass! My wife said the enchiladas are great too. If there was one taco to rule them all here it would be the carne asada a la Mex!

Thanks to Alan Williams and Las Chiladas for putting together the tamale making class for the San Antonio Gold Member and San Antonio Restaurant group.Patrick and Annie Flores, the owners, had never done a class like this and were gracious hosts and teachers. The class was very well attended and the staff took great care of use, making sure we had all the ingredients to make a dozen pork tamales. We started with the opportunity to try four varieties of tamales. I have never had cream cheese and jalapeno tamales, but found them to be quite tasty. The pork and chicken tamales were also very good with a good balance of meat and masa. They make a lot of tamales and I think Patrick said they do about 1,500 dozen during the holidays.Patrick gave us great direction into the techniques to spread them masa and then add the meat, and roll the tamales.The class was well worth the admission fee. We got to try a lot of tamales, we got to take home the dozen we made, and then they let us pick another dozen already made to take home.

Went here for a team breakfast while in San Antonio for the weekend. Really my only complaint was that the food took forever to come out (we were there for 1.5 hours.. luckily not in a rush).The food itself was delicious! The warm tortillas were great. I had the Barbacoa + Eggs breakfast plate which came with potatoes and beans too. Very filling portion size. I also got some chicken tamales to go and they did not disappoint.

This is a small place. Serves Comfort Food... fresh and delicious! Also, reasonably priced. The staff is super friendly and know most of the customers by name and their usual order. They got you before you get to your table! Try their Tamales!! YUMMM

This restaurant now appears to be permanently closed. No sign and place looks empty. It's a real shame. My family and I have been going there since 1996. The food was always great and the people were very nice. If I were to guess, I would bet that the Shopping Center was bought out and they could no longer afford the increased rent. These out of state property owners are driving all of our mom and pop restaurants out of business with their greed and changing our city for the worse.

Las Chiladas is a classic San Antonio Tex Mex restaurant. It's always been around, it's family friendly, it has terrific food and often times live music. I never tire of eating here and it is open Sundays when many Mexican restaurants are not. The food servers are friendly and consistent. Please give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
