La Quintana Mexican Restaurant

We went this morning (9/2/24)for the first time ever! We usually go to El Mercado area for breakfast when we're visiting SA. This time we found this place and took a chance and we were very pleased with the food and service. we'll definitely be going back .

This is a great Mexican restaurant near Port of San Antonio. They actually give you chips, salsa and queso. I had the chicken enchiladas and they tasted great.

I passed by this place going to work often and it is always very busy, so I was intrigued. I stopped by after an appointment and before I went back to the office. I wanted to try their breakfast tacos. I ordered a chorizo and potato, al pastor, and an asada taco. They offer a breakfast deal of two breakfast tacos (from a list) for $2.50. This is refreshing because most places have a 3 taco minimum, which is annoying when you are just ordering for you. That third taco can make you sleepy early in the morning. Anyway, back to the tacos I ordered. They are generously filled and ready pretty quickly. The pastor and asada were very good. The chorizo and potato taco needed a litter more seasoning. Their green salsa and Pico de Gallo also lacked a little flavor. However, I would order here again and just use my own salsa. The place is good with takeout orders and they open at 5:30 which is very convenient. I didn't get a chance to take pictures, but I am glad that I finally tried this restaurant so I can add it to my rotation.

I stop here every time Im in town for business. They have a great variety of breakfast taco options that are packed full of flavor. There are so many breakfast taco places in san antonio that the choices may seem overwhelming. But seriously, just stop looking and go here....you wont be disappointed

Burrito was big, okay, rice and bean on side they should prefably be inside the burrito . Horchata was good 7/10. Chips and cheese with salsa was great 10/10. Unfortunately there was a long hair in my food, I wanted it remade. I could've asked for refund but was hungry. No discount on total price unfortunately. Won't be back.

Waited 20 mins for 2 tacos and it wasn't even busy. Waitresses were more interested flirting with the clients than actually working. Restaurant is so close to my house i thought id give it another chance but i sure remember why i don't come here. Will not be coming back.

Wow, the food is absolutely amazing! It's unlike any other Mexican restaurant in town. I absolutely love it!

I stopped by this morning to order breakfast tacos I was standing there while the waitresses were walking around never was asked if I already had placed an order or I needed to an order. I noticed that there was nothing but men there so I wasn't being treated right because Im a female, real bad customer service and when I asked one of the waitresses she ignore me. I had to really step up to her face. Then she got my order then I ask for the manager and the answer was she's not here. The other thing they said you have to come up to the Counter f@@@ how much closer do I have to get! Very bad customer service. They look so desperate for money or a dick!!!!! I told them look at the cameras if u have them u can see everything!!! Whom ever gave them training is not in the right business! Remember you have to be a MALE to get great service!!!!

Called an order ahead that included just tortilla soup. Waited another 15 minutes while I got there because it was a servers birthday and they were all at one table talking. Then I get my very small bowl of soup which is ridiculous for $8 and then get home to find out they just put chicken and cheese, no veggies. Who orders a tortilla soup with just cheese and chicken!? Last time I'm coming to this location.

The food was great don't get me wrong. It was the service that was horrible. I called In an order and had specifically told them I wanted torta bread for each of my menudos instead of tortillas or tostadas , I show up pick up my order pay for it and notice there's only one set of tortas so I mentioned that I needed another one for the other meal. Yo to the waitress I'm sorry that, that was such an issue for you , that it annoyed you so much you felt you had to talk shit with the cook and get the cook to shit cook my bread and give me the colas of the bread pile. My wife's one piece of torta bread was bigger then my entire two pieces they gave me. I can't even describe how pathetic they looked so here's the pics.
