This is the spot for any kind of sweet bread, cookies and even tortillas. It's been around for more than a decade and the quality has never changed!! Prices are really decent and you get so much, service is super fast and friendly.

The Pastries are great, but too highly over priced. The Mexican counter help must be mathematicians. My wife and I purchased the same items separately and we got different high prices. How can 3 items come to $5.75 and the same exact other order for the same 3 items came to $6.25 ?????First and Last time coming here.

We stumbled upon this bakery in search of a concha to make us smile La Popular made that happen. They are tucked behind an autozone on Goliad in what is an oLd pull up restaurant. Inside you are embraced by the aromas of fresh baked galletas y conchas. They carry a large variety of sweets, and also fresh tortillas . You need to come find this hidden gem.

1. Close to my parents house. 2. They have cuerno and churros3. CheapIt's all good. Ok now for an actual review/nostalgic story: My little sister started coming here about a decade ago and I came a few times to see what the big deal was. The air smelled sweet. More recently I started coming here because Charles Barkley commented on big ol' women from San Antonio and how we double fist churros. This put me in the mood for churros (Barkley KNOWS, churros are freaking awesome). Now I've been exploring a number of options in Austin trying to get my churro fix, but I just can't find the right crunchy to chewy ratio SO, I end up just saving the churro savoring for San Antonio. Things to note: English is not usually a strong suit here (about 2/3 of the time I've been), but I manage to make it out with a bag of goodness every time. That said, if you want to practice your Spanish, I think it will be welcome unless there is a line, if that's the case, save your Spanish and just point & hold up fingers. It looks closed from the outside, but I swear it's open and dimly lit on the inside. They're open from 5am to 9pm. It's easy to miss coming down the street from either side, so just look for the Autozone. The parking lot looks like an old skool drive in burger type place. $5 minimum on cards. I honestly like just grabbing a bag from here, going somewhere to get coffee and meeting up in the park or just having tea in my backyard - that's good eating.

When I walked in the door , I was hit by the sweet smell of fresh baked goods. They have a huge selection to choose from. I walked up to the counter and was assisted by a nice lady. The churros were filled with Bavarian cream. The were good. I also walked away with a giant chocolate glazed donut that was soft and fresh.

I use to love going to this bakery, but up until about a month ago every time I go there has been flies and gnats inside the glass flying all around the bread. I purchased a chocolate milk and that was expired along with the strawberry milk. I don't think I'll be going back any time soon.
