Had an extra crispy fish and it was delicious. The server was attentive and professional. There is plenty of space to accommodate a few large party. The menu is easy to read and the photos of various dishes helped me choose.

Pretty good food. The name implies seafood which they do have in spades. They also have straight up Mexican food as well. We had the lunch specials of fried fish fillets and the combo. The combo is two shrimp fried and two fried filets. The lunch specials are $10.49 from 11am - 2pm. Closed on Tuesdays. You have a choice of two sides. The usual: slaw, fries, salad, up charge for baked or onion rings. The plates are served with tartar sauce, a tasty cocktail sauce and lemon wedges. Our server was in training and doing a pretty good job. Go there.

The service was mediocre and they would forget what we had gotten when there wasn't a LOT of customers. The food was okay until I ordered the Fajitas Nachos which in my opinion were terrible, the meat tasted like I was eating straight up flavorless plastic and way too chewy.

I have been going to this restaurant since they first opened and it was always good. But now things have changed. The fish is so thin, and it almost seems they get one filet and slice it in half. I don't know how they do it. Making delicious fried fish without it being greasy and heavy. I crave this stuff. The sides could use some work. Example-the coleslaw is just shredded cabbage with no dressing. The rice is good, though.

Definitely do not recommend. We got a plate that was 21 bucks. We added three shrimp and it came out to 40 bucks. Lady said the charge almost 4 bucks for each shrimp. (She couldn't find the proof on the menu. We also ordered chips and salsa and did not receive it. I go to nice places. I do not mind paying good money for good food. The food was just not that good.

I have been going to La Playa Sea Food Restaurant for years. I was paying for two plates was around 32.00 and change but it has gone up to almost to 50.00 for two plates. When you ask why the price hike, the answer like in every restaurant is always the same..."BECAUSE OF COVID!" Covid is over and done with and surely the fish did not catch covid. All businesses got a taste of what price gouging brought them and now they do not want to go back to the old prices. All I can say is that restaurants that charge exuberant amounts for each plate will soon go the way of Red Lobster and others that have had to close their doors. No one like to have their eyes poked, and money does not grow on trees. I will no longer patronize La Playa Sea Food Restaurant.
