La Frite Belgian Bistro

Actually bistro sized bistro with great food and service. Cozy feeling but not over crowded. The mussels were tip top and they had Trappist ale availablein quantity and variety. The steak frites were also fantastic. Great bread. Recommend

This place is the real deal if you're into Belgian-French cuisine done right. The mussels, fries, and crab crepe were on point--packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. Every dish felt like it was made with care and real skill.The spot has a low-key, hole-in-the-wall vibe, but that just adds to its charm. It's a true mom-and-pop operation with great service--friendly, fast, and no fuss.Prices are solid for the quality, making it easy to enjoy an incredible meal without breaking the bank. If you're looking for great food without the pretense, this is the spot. Highly recommend!

Late post on one of the participating restaurants for Restaurant Week! Take note of La Frite Belgian Bistro in January for the next round of Restaurant Week! It is one of the few participating restaurants where the dinner prix fixe menu is still $35. Many of the participating restaurants are at $45 or $55.Dad had the Lemonade, Hubby had the Cider, and I had the Halter Ranch Grenache Blanc. I chose the Restaurant Week menu which started with the Red Wine Poached Pear, the entree was the Red Snapper with jasmine rice and vegetables, and Chocolate Mousse. Hubby had the Salade de Fruit et Fromage and Confit de Canard (duck confit). Dad had the Crepe au Jambon et Fromage (crepe with ham and cheese). Everything was delicious! This place does fill up so make a reservation if you can.There is a private lot for parking but be early! Come check this place out!

The food was perfect. The customer service was excellent romantic spot with great view.

First time eating here and will come back. Food was delicious and fresh. Waitress was so nice and patient also.

I was a little disappointed cause we went on Valentine's day and I was going to get their delicious Mussels but they had a set menu. But I was surprised, what they had was lobster and Filet for entree choices, both were very tasty and we were not disappointed... but I will go back later on for the Mussels...

I love this place! The ambiance is such a vibe and the food is so delicious and a great value for what you get. Parking is pretty limited but that's to be expected in Southtown! Definitely try the mussels and frites -- you won't regret it!

Always a great evening by at La Frite, service is professional and everything tastes homemade. I love that they have a prix fixe menu all the time, great for date night or dinner with friends.

Lunch with some girlfriends, we all enjoyed their lunch menu for restaurant week. I had the pork scallopini and it was very flavorful, the pork did have quiet a few pieces of fat and gristle that were disguised under their savory sauce. Overall a veery flavorful dish. Mussels were also cooked tenderly simmered in a soft wine broth. It does seem as a family owned establishment that might need a bit more staff to make sure patrons are fully attended to, we've had to ask for refills a couple of times and reminder for silverware that was missing. Overall I was very impressed with the meals, will be going back to sample more from their menu.

Excellent meal...though the frites are not how I remember them when I lived in Belgium.
