This is an authentic French restaurant! The food is delicious and we've always had quick service. The homemade jam crepes are a favorite of mine. It's a place you'll find yourself wanting to come back to often!!

Alright, imagine this: you stroll into La Boulangerie, and it's not just your average bakery. No, no, mon ami--it's like stepping into a little slice of France with a side of playful chaos. The warm, buttery aroma of fresh croissants surrounds you like a cozy hug from an old friend. The sound of laughter, clinking coffee cups, and the occasional "Oooh la la!" fills the air. It's the perfect place to take a break from life and embrace your inner Frenchie. You're not just there for the food (though let's be honest, the food is amazing). Oh no. Here, you can grab a game and unleash your competitive side with a friend. Order the breakfast croissant sandwich (don't even think about not getting it--it's bacon, egg, cheese, and flaky croissant perfection), and then pick up a game. Maybe it's a high-stakes round of Uno where the only thing fiercer than the game is the croissant crumbs flying around. Or perhaps you'll have a dramatic showdown over a game of chess. Who knew croissants could inspire such intense concentration, right? And let's talk about that breakfast sandwich for a second. It's like the Eiffel Tower of sandwiches--crispy bacon, warm egg, melted cheese, all inside a croissant so fluffy it might just float away. You'll eat it and think, "Am I in Paris? Is this a dream?" No, it's real, and it's here.La Boulangerie isn't just a place to stuff your face with the world's finest pastries; it's a hub of joy, laughter, and friendly rivalry. You grab a croissant, grab a game, and suddenly you're not just in a bakery, you're in the heart of Parisian brunch culture. So, bring a friend, have some fun, and let the croissant-fueled competition begin! Voilà!

I've tried this place a few times and have to say it can be hit or miss. The breads and pastry are great and I really enjoy them. The eggs, crepes, and other items can be good or lack luster based on the day I go/ time. The service is counter ordering and they are short with you. That's fine as long as you're expecting it. The space is small with a few tables but there is also an additional seating area in the adjacent space.

The reviews are accurate! This gem is phenomenal! 10/10 for quality of food! The staff are friendly and take your order as soon as you are ready, there is plenty of seating inside, and it is clean. It's downtown, so parking is......not great....but just plan to get your morning walk in or Uber your over. The pastries are fresh, the bread is baked in house and I wish I could have tried more food than I did. I have already made plans to return with friends next weekend :) The pastry was perfectly sweet, not overloaded with sugar but not dry, like what you would find at Panera. The baguette was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The tomatoes and basil were freshly chopped and the portions in the sandwich were perfect. Do yourself a favor and check La Boulangerie out! You won't be disappointed :)

Wonderful relaxing lunch that was absolutely delicious. Just like being back in France. Excellent food in a reasonably sized portion. Each ingredient in my smoked salmon sandwich and my spouse's crepe was fresh as was the in-house made baguette. For dessert I enjoyed the crème brûlée. Wonderful service from the French couple whose business this is. Short walk from the Alamo and a lovely respite after a long tour.

This is the best French bakery in town, perhaps all of Texas. They're pricey, but it's justified - the croissants, baguettes, French toast - all buttery and delicious. What's not justified is the owner's attitude. It's a husband and wife team - he's lovely - friendly, kind and helpful. She's aggressive, hostile and will bite your head off if you ask her for anything. She nearly verbally assaulted me when I asked her to check on my sandwich after 35 mins of waiting. They're understaffed and busy - neither of which are the customer's fault. Those are her issues to solve. We used to love it here, even when she was just cold and just didn't smile. Now she's downright obnoxious

Excellent french cafe located downtown that is easily accessible from most hotels. This was the first place we visited. The iced coffee was both hydrating and energizing. I thoroughly enjoyed the fruit tart. There was a light ganache later between the crust and pastry cream. A French radio station was streaming in the background. The vibe was very welcoming and relaxing. It was a welcome respite from the excessive heat in the middle of the Dat, especially coming in from an arid climate. Do visit!!

We probably eat here nearly every month. Homey little bit of Paris. The baked goods are stupendous and Jambon Buerre can't be beat. We did a big take-out for my birthday once and our larger family raved about the superb breads and entrees. We also grab a baguette or multigrain loaf occasionally.
