L&L Hawaiian Barbecue

I had an incredible experience at L&L Hawaiian BBQ! The service was amazing, and the food was truly phenomenal. Everything I tried was great but the shrimp really stood out, it was so flavorful!I loved it so much that I actually started cooking Hawaiian food at home because it's a bit of a drive for me. But if you're in the area, DO NOT MISS THIS SPOT!Literally, my only complaint is that it's too far from me. Otherwise, everything was a 10/10. The service, atmosphere, and food all combined to make me feel like I was actually in Hawaii!

Love the food but more attention in detail in takeouts please! We've had takeouts here before and they've forgotten or mismatched my sauces again. I always get chicken katsu and sometimes sauce is missing but today it's the wrong sauce(soy sauce for some reason??) Honestly make me so sad because I can't enjoy the food... Anyway but if you have everything, Chicken Katsu, Loco Moco and Mochi cake are all great!!We do takeouts for convenience and obv wouldn't want to go back for sauce but just pls pay more attention in takeout orders...

Probably the best kept secret in San Antonio. This place never misses.All meat is seasoned perfectly and extremely tender! Mac salad is top notch. Best Hawaiian food in SA by far.

10/10 katsu chicken10/10 macaroni salad 8/10 ramenI've been coming here since they opened. The katsu is my go to dish. The macaroni salad is one of my favorites now. I rarely touched macaroni salad before this place opened. It's been a little while but I love their ramen as well.I can't help to be relaxed while eating here. The background music is awesome

One of my favorite foods is japanese katsu curry so I had to try the katsu. The food was good, but they forgot my sauce that came with the combo so I had to go back up front. They also forgot one of my friend's Musubis. This was my first time trying Hawaiian food. The Mac Salad is not at all what I expected it to taste like, haha. I also do not have a big sweet tooth and all the meat sauces seemed pretty sweet. I think it's fair to say that the food is good but just not to my personal preference. The service could have been a little better so that's why I docked a star. I would maybe eat here again if my friends wanted to come- they love the food. It's worth a try to decide for yourself!

The food was prepared and brought to our table pretty quickly.Kalua pulled pork 9/10Very soft and tender. Flavor is good, but not my favorite Hawaiian pork I've had. The cabbage made everything very watery. I could have done without it. White rice 8/10Plain white rice, no seasonings or flavor or anything. Cooked perfectly.Macaroni salad 10/10Absolutely delicious Mac salad.

So my sister and I decided to give L&L a shot. We called in our order and they were very friendly and welcoming on the phone. In the matter of 15 minutes our food was ready to go, so they were VERY quick and efficient. I would recommend this place if you're wanting to eat a quick bite on your break.I ordered the Loco Moco Plate and I would have to say the presentation of the food did not disappoint! Also, being this is the first time having Hawaiian food. As far as the taste, number one I would recommend that they would ease on the salt. I would say less salt is better than too much salt because we could always add if need be. So for those who may have health concerns with sodium intake may need to take caution.So overall, I'd have to say the service is friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming, other than the salt it was pretty tasty, I highly recommend the macaroni salad!

Hawaiian food....YES! It is delicious and authentic from the island. The decor is authentic, the service is awesome, and the food is even better. Whether you get the spam musubi or the beef short ribs, L&L is outstanding for lunch and dinner both. The macaroni salad is not just a side piece, but a delicious add-on for your plate. All the food is prepped fresh and the ingredients are fresh and tasty.

Overall not the best Hawaiian experience Ive had in San Antonio. The wait for the food was about 45 minutes, and the place was relatively empty. We got spam musubi and the seafood & bbq combo platter. Everything was cooked well, however just not worth the wait. I found the food lacked seasoning/flavor, although the fry on the meat was close to perfect! The macaroni salad was very bland and overall the food was just lacking in taste. The spam musubi however were great! However if you like very mild flavor, this place might be your cup of tea. Glad we tried it once!

Here is a true taste of Hawaii! When we were living in Hawaii, L&L was our good easy go to for quick Hawaiian food, so seeing the chain here mad just happy. We came in for lunch right before the rush hit. We had the BBQ Mix plate and a kalua pork plate. Both were made fresh and the taste was spot on! The restaurant itself is small so come before the lunch rush to grab a seat highly recommended!
