Krazy Katsu is home to the biggest and possibly the crispiest chicken sandwich this side of the Mississippi - and the other side, too! These sandwiches are MASSIVE! Come hungry! The options are plentiful, but my go-to faves are the Anchor and the Deebo. All their sandwiches come on fluffy buns made fresh by a local (legendary) bakery and brought in daily. Pro tip: order the 3 slide chicks and try 3 different "mini" sandwiches. Be warned, even the sliders are substantial. The sides are great, too! Their house-made Japanese pickled cucumbers are tangy and sweet; the perfect side for the sandwiches. Low-carb? No prob! Ask for grilled chicken (and double the protein - because... why not?) on any of the sandwiches! One more thing, and this is a fun one: this place makes the tastiest smash burger in San Antonio! If chicken isn't your thing or you want to change things up, order one of their burgers. You won't regret it.

Located in one of our favorite little corners of SAT (the boxcar lot), Krazy Katsu lit logo on the outside of the building will draw you right in. Be aware there is no indoor seating. Outdoor seating is the only option.Ordering inside was easy. The menus are accessible behind the counter and the employees were more than willing to answer all of the questions we had. There is also an option to order via QR code at a table outdoor if you'd like to avoid going inside. The food was great! The chicken is breaded perfectly and fried well. The bowl had all of the best of a salad for toppings. The amount of dipping sauces is overwhelming but they're good! Definitely ask an employee what some of the different named ones are.Only bottled drinks and water available.

Krazy Katsu has a very cozy dining area and great customer service, however I was not a fan of the food itself.I ordered the 3 tender meal and the OG Katsu Fries (the name was something similar to that), and was slightly disappointed that the food didn't taste as good as it looked. The breading they use on the chicken is very crispy (which I liked), however it had a slight aftertaste that sort of reminded me of cheap fried school lunch. The regular fries were very good however, but the OG Katsu fries were drowned in cheese and sauce. To a point where it made my stomach hurt midway through the meal.Overall, I'd be hesitant to give this place another visit, but I'll keep an open mind in the future; I'd like to try their spicy options.

THE BEST CHICKEN I HAVE HAD IN SAN ANTONIO by far. The owner is super cool and his food is truly worth trying at least once! I don't know another place in town that you can have a burger on a pandan bread or a burger with kimchi on it! Support local businesses!

So my bf saw this spot and decided to get us a couple of things to try out. So the sandwiches are small, it's lk they fried one whole one and cut it in half to make it two sandwiches. Anyways we got a trio and some loaded fries which were not good at all, they just threw too much stuff in it and personally it didn't mesh, the flavors/items didn't go together. The chicken was def burnt and they need to clean that fryer out, dirty old oil gives ur fried food an ugly color. Would not go there again we will stick to Daves.

Service was great. Mac was a tad salty for my liking but other than that food was delish. Establishment was clean. Fountain beverage station was being worked on but they had bottle drinks to accommodate.

Wow! Krazy Katsu is a true local gem and more people should know about this amazing restaurant. They are located at the edge of Olmos Park on the back side of a little plaza which is not very visible if you are driving through McCullough Ave. Their space is super cool and they are inside an old train container which gives it a very unique vibe. The specialize in asian inspired chicken sandwiches but also have other amazing items like burgers, fries and some healthier options like grilled chicken over rice. My absolute two favorites were the Pandam Smash Burger and the Grilled Samurai Bowl. They were both packed with flavor and tasted delicious. One last thing, they do have an amazing patio with screens which is perfect to watch an evening basketball game or any kind of sport. Definitely give this small business a chance. I promise you won't regret it!
