Great hamburger joint! Don't let the casual ambiance fool you. The burgers and fries were so good and piping hot! We enjoyed the mushroom burger with grilled onions and melted Swiss cheese which was perfectly cooked and a side of French fries. Well prepared and really delicious.

This is that "can't miss" spot every time we go to the river! So so good!!!! I always get the patty melt!

We had read all of the reviews and wanted a good burger so we gave this place a try. It was pretty good. The buns were awesome and the other ingredients were fresh and tasty. It's probably one of the better burgers we have had lately, seems everyone has cheapened up everything since the pandemic and this inflation. As stated above, it was a pretty good burger, just not a great burger. We would go back, but fyi, parking is limited. Would hate to see the parking during the summer months.

I was camping at Potters Creek COE Park last weekend, since I had to accompany the Alamo Area Master Naturalist Class 45 on their tour of the Canyon Lake Gorge on Saturday. I don't like to get up super early in the morning and drive for an hour and a half to get there by 8:00 am. It is easier to take the camper and stay the weekend. Or, maybe I'll just use any excuse to escape on a camping trip.Anyway, on Friday night, I realized that I had totally forgotten to take any food with me. Yep... I may have to turn in my Old Fat Man card. Imagine, me, Jim Baker forgetting food. I decided to survive on two bags of microwave popcorn that had been in the camper forever and some Merlot from a box that I always keep stocked. That was okay, but I was hungry enough to think ahead for Saturday after the Gorge trip.I googled one of my two favorite food phrases while on camping trips- Hamburgers near me. Jay & Diane's came up. The reviews were good, and the prices were amazing. I set my stomach on going there. My other favorite phrase is "BBQ near me", but I wasn't feeling BBQ this time.I mentioned my lunch plan to some of the trainees and ended up being joined by seven others. Every one of our phones took us to the wrong place, but one lady rolled her window down and hollered, "What's the name of the place?" I had only given her the address to put in her GPS. She said she saw it on the way to the wrong location, and led the way to it.I ordered a cheeseburger with bacon and a small order of chili cheese fries. The burger was fantastic. It was juicy and beefy tasting, and the meat was the perfect size for the bun. The fries were the best I have ever had. Somehow, they fried them so well that they never got soggy under the TON of chili and cheese they poured on top. They gave me a little tub of chopped onion to add to it that knocked it out of the park. The others all had burgers of some kind and raved about them.My meal, which also included a huge iced tea, only cost me $14.34. You simply can't beat that price and still get such a quality meal. I will be back whenever I am camping at Canyon Lake in the future.I should note that this is a walk up place with only outdoor seating. I know some folks don't like eating outdoors, but we Master Naturalists embrace it.

Excellent hamburgers and the service is fast and staff is always wonderful!! Best little burger stand around!!

The best hamburger, and sweet potatoes fries. Win win over here. Also the cheese sticks are really "stringy" and the kids love that the most.

Up date. Finally went to this place again. Was disappointed. The bun was so saturated with butter or something else it took took away from the flavor of the burger. Huge disappointment.This used to be my favorite burger place. Now I will go to Five Guys. So sad of the decline of this place.
