J-Prime Steakhouse

We had a group of 8 and one of the group had a large gift card so we decided to go. If I could afford it, I'd return very often! The service was impeccable from the hostess to our server and even the folks who remove plates - personable and attentive.The food was amazing. Prior to this visit, I had a 'go to' steak place for special occasions where we've gone for years but J Prime just replaced that place. 6 of has had steak (some ribeye, some NY Strip) and two had the salmon. All were prepared perfectly! It is extremely rare (no pun intended) that when I order a medium-rare steak that it arrives medium-rare; usually over or under done. My steak was absolutely perfectly prepared and the flavor was superb. I tried the salmon (I love salmon but had to order a steak) and it was also perfectly prepared! We had many sides - they are mostly family-style size. Brussels sprouts are not my favorite generally - something I've only found two places that prepare them where I like them. I just found a new #1 - the flavor was awesome and they were not over or under cooked. The asparagus was also perfectly prepared and delicious. The potatoes au gratin were also extremely tasty. The street corn was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone - great flavors. Even the tower of onion rings were perfectly breaded and cooked.Normally we would not have eaten dessert but - we had to. The creme brule was awesome - the caramelization was exactly as it should be served - spot on. The chocolate cake was - massive - three people could easily be fed - and it was very flavorful and moist. The carrot cake - also massive - we felt like we got 1/4 of an entire cake. It was also very very good.So, if you are looking for a place for a special occasion and plan on spending more money than a run of the mill meal out (our bill for 8, including tip, with no alcohol or appetizers, was $1,000) this is THE place to go.

J Prime Steakhouse is my absolute favorite place to celebrate special occasions. Dining here is more than just a meal--it's an experience from start to finish. They go above and beyond with thoughtful details, like hot towels to refresh your hands and a palette cleanser to enhance every flavor in the meal. For my birthday, they even had a celebratory balloon waiting at the table, which made the evening feel so personal.For dinner, we enjoyed the filet mignon, which was cooked to absolute perfection. Tender, flavorful, and beyond exceptional--it truly set a high standard for any future steak. For dessert, we had the carrot cake, which was outstanding. Moist, rich, and perfectly spiced, it was the ideal finish to an incredible meal.The service at J Prime is truly exceptional. The staff is attentive and makes you feel celebrated, catering to your every need. If you're looking for a place to mark a special occasion, J Prime is the place to be. They deliver a flawless dining experience that keeps us coming back again and again.

This was my second time coming to J Prime, and the experience this time was just as lovely as my first time dining here. Service was impeccable, and ambiance matched as well.Onto the food: we started off with the seafood tower, and it was amazing! There were clams, oysters, snow crab, poke, crab salad, and jumbo cocktail shrimps. All the seafood was very fresh, and the plating/presentation was elevated with some dry ice. Next came the beet salad--fresh, well-balanced in flavors, and a good portion. The tomahawk steak was cooked to medium-rare as desired, but the steak itself wasn't seasoned very well. It definitely wasn't the best steak I've ever tasted, and there were also parts of the steak that were tougher than others. However, both of the sides--the truffle macaroni and cheese and the portobello mushrooms in wine sauce--were mouth-wateringly delicious. The meal was concluded with a large slice of their celebration cake, which is yellow cake with cream cheese frosting. The cake was colorful and also very moist--the perfect ending to a great meal.

We can just get it out-of-the-way and say that this place is extremely expensive. But if you're going here, it's not because you're trying to save money, it's because you want a great meal. When celebrating a family milestone this is the spot we chose and it did not disappoint. The A5 Wagyu was just amazing. The East Coast oysters and caviar were delicious. But, the service was what really made it stand out because the staff makes sure you have everything you need and if you let them know that you're celebrating a special occasion, they go out of their way to make it extra special. If you're looking for an upscale, fine, dining experience, then you can't go wrong with this location.

I wasn't too sure what to expect. I just heard that it's a pretty good steakhouse. Well I must say it's better than that. It's absolutely amazing. The ambience is just captivating you with elegant style and a way that takes you to a whole Nother world of happiness not only do you feel like you just walked in and are the most important person in that whole restaurant but you also feel like you have a sense of Common collectedness. It's so peaceful but yet so amazing just the way the customer service is just the way that you overall can be captivated by not only the the way the place looks, the smells the everything about this place. Started off my night by grabbing a drink at the bar The bartender is not only were intelligent, kind considerate caring definitely were great about making suggestions recommendations and going over what they were gonna put in your drink if you had any questions, I mean these bartenders were top-notch bartenders not only that, but they did it with a smile. They had so many customers at the bar and they didn't lose the sense of happiness and kindness. They really made you feel like your order was the most important order kept great conversation with all of their customers at the bar, not to mention, we very interested in after you tasted the drink if it was something that you enjoyed or if it was something that you would like to change about it. Now, when it comes to the food, oh my goodness it was to die for amazing. I had the absolute honor trying the ribeye and I would not have changed that suggestion of order in anyway at all. It was so delicious well cooked great flavor amazing flavor, even in the marbleized part of the steak it was one of those steaks that you can honestly just eat without even having to add anything to it not even a dash of salt or pepper. I mean it was the epitome of profession on a plate. I did also have the salad and a soup amazing hands-down delicious Everybody was flavorful and just really took you to the next level of happiness. Their sides were WOW!!! I highly recommend this restaurant if you've never thought about going take the time and go it's worth it. It definitely makes you realize what amazing steak house is supposed to be all about. But don't take my word for it. Please come check it out to help me what you think. Give me your review. Amazing food, and service. First time here, and I was very impressed. Upscale restaurant, with a cozy ambiance. I had the ribye, delicious! If you are looking for good food, and great service give this place a try.

It is so rare to find a steakhouse that does steak and sides well. Everything we ate was absolutely fantastic and I'd definitely say this is one of the best steak houses I've been to. Service was absolutely top notch, Adam was an awesome server. He was very friendly, gave us the best suggestions, and made our dining experience memorable. I love the nice touch they do for anniversaries (rose and card) and birthdays (gorgeous light string balloon). The crab cake is a MUST. It is STUFFED with so much crab and is the best crab cake I've ever had. This started our meal on an extremely high note. The Caesar salad was so good, not overly dressed, and had a nice smokiness from being lightly charred. The free pao de queijo was so yummy too. I wish the ribeye was a bit better marbled, but the dry aged flavor was lovely. The brussel sprouts were nice and crispy with a nice balsamic dressing. The potatoes au gratin are a MUST. So creamy and cheesy. They use sea bass for the fish and chips which was insanely good. Absolutely fantastic meal, and a big thank you to Adam for the fantastic dining experience!

I came here for dinner on my birthday and it was great. Of course we ordered steak but everything that the server brought our table was delicious. When you walk in, it is very dark and intimate with plenty of seating even for large groups. When we were shown to our table, there was a little sign and ballon for me. The server was very nice and explained the menu thoroughly. The steak: a little disappointing because it lacked flavor even though it was Japanese A5. My steak medallions were seasoned well but you only get 4-5 pieces. The restaurant is nice and clean but the service was a little slow. We found ourselves waiting about 15-20 minutes for drinks. Although we enjoyed ourselves, we agreed that if we're going to spend a lot of money on steak, it's best to book a reservation with Bohanans downtown.

I'm so glad we chose J Prime for our wedding anniversary celebration! We were taken care of by everyone and felt very special as everyone who came to our table wished us a happy anniversary! The ambiance of the restaurant was very upscale but comfortable. The food & drinks were amazing & they took care to ensure everything was perfect and met my needs of no dairy, gluten or eggs. The chefs even made us a special dessert of lemon sorbet with fresh berries because nothing on the menu met my needs. It was definitely an experience we won't forget!

We were greeted with a birthday balloon for my husband and led to a table in a very cold part of the restaurant. This is first and foremost a celebration restaurant--over 90% of the patrons were celebrating a birthday or anniversary. Patrons were dressed in casual clothes to dressier cocktail attire. I liked that there was a range of outfits.I found that service was professional and courteous but courses arrived slower than molasses. Water glasses remained filled, silverware was replaced, and the table was de-crumbed regularly.The sea bass was ok but it was slightly overdone and I wish there was a less buttery sauce option to help highlight the fish better. After devouring his 8oz filet, a neighboring table got a 16oz ny strip and my husband made a mental note that he'll order that next time.I wish the sides were left whole on the table so that we could serve ourselves. It's a bit pretentious and cumbersome to spoon potato's onto an adult's dinner plate. I didn't get a photo of the beet salad. It was excellent!The celebration cake is an absolute sugar bomb, but I loved the rainbow layers of icing and funfetti cake.I thought the food was fine, but my husband thought it was excellent. It on the expensive end, which I was expecting, but my husband had sticker shock. I liked the service here better than other high end restaurants in the city, but the flavors were very simple and buttery, which made our entrees feel extra heavy.
