Great food and great atmosphere. But check your order before you leave. The young man at the counter tends to forget things like tartar sauce for the fish not once but twice. But other than that it's great!

Ahoy, matey! I be a regularrr patron to this here seafood tavern. I always get the fried fish an' mashed potatoes an' the stewed veggies. This here must be the only place in town to get a vegetable that there ain't deep fried! A hidden treasure to be sure, arrr! The barrr o' tartarrr an' cocktail sauce be fresh, an' the lemons be plentiful to keep the scurvy away. No grog here, just get a tankard o' the iced tea. The lunch fillets be a decent portion. The service be quick, an' friendly. I been once without a shillin' an' 2 pence an' indeed they gifted me a boon. They've soundly renovated the walls with tentacled murals, an' even the sink in the bathroom be shaped like a seashell. The place be decked out with nautical abandon. When ye hear the siren's song, pay 'eed, lest ye walk the plank an' fall head first into a lesser establishment.

I have been coming to this seafood spot for years always a go too. BUT they switched to frozen fish and it is just not the same!!!! So disappointed they're going the cheap way and not even at least adjusting their prices. I would definitely recommend Arredondo's Seafood Cafe off of Southcross. It taste exactly the same as the old Jay Anthony's.

I stopped in here for dinner a couple of days ago. You basically walk in, place your order, and everything is made to order. The wait was only about 15 minutes. They are stingy with the shrimp, only given me 2. You get 2 fillets of fish, which I'm not entirely sure what type of fit it is. The fish seemed to me to be the kind of fish that you buy in the frozen section of a grocery store. The vegetables were good. There is nothing particular fancy about the food you get here but it is okay just in case you have a taste for some low-budget seafood. That's probably all.

The fish falls apart. The fries were hella soggy and greasy; SO GROSS!!! The tarter sauce looked like mayo and smelled like garbage. The tea is warm, like do they not own a fridge?? Beyond me.
