Fish taco plate. You don't get a choice between fried or grilled. There also isn't any type of sauce for these so I used regular salsa.

It gets worse all the time. Had the chance at seeing them clean with dirty water and I do mean dirty. Food was cold no tarter sauce which I should have checked before I left but was already disgusted with what I saw. No hushpuppies or utensils just the shrimp.corn and mashed potatoes. Not even a slice of bread lol. But I did get a slice of lemon for 8 shrimps. Back to Rudy's for me tried this one and the one on Mcmullen both going downhill.

Tried to go on a Fri evening and we just happened to call ahead. Turns out they were only taking pickup orders so we're never got to try them. They should post this change online so people don't come, expecting to sit down and eat.

Love this down home cooking, whether we go in or we drive thru, our food is top of the line! The service and quality is hard to come by and I definitely recommend them. Favorites are the cod lunch, must have macaroni, fried mushrooms, sweet tea, and any deserts!

100% disappointed. I've been to the sw military location before and it's nothing like this place. We tried this location because it's a little bit closer. First warning was the health rating being a C. I should have turned back then. The initial cashier seemed to be in a bad mood. I ordered the fish tacos and had to send them back so I was worried about about the quality of my food coming back. They put oil on the tortillas so i was picking up greasy tacos. I've never had oiled tacos. The second cashier was nice and even checked back about our food. The fish was grilled with some pico and avocado, no type of sauce though. The portion of rice was small too. My mom got the fried fish but said that was bland and lacked seasoning. The sweet tea tasted like you could get diabetes from drinking it and the other non-soda option was fruit punch. 2 stars for the second cashier and the fried shrimp. The only item on our plates that nobody complained about.

The quality, taste and value of this seafood is always consistently good. Don't let the small establishment and location on S. Presa keep you from eating here. From the appetizers to the family orders of fish, J. Anthony's is a great seafood restaurant chain in San Antonio.

Ever since starting to work downtown, this has been a place I frequent at least every couple of weeks. It looks like a shack from the outside but they have excellent seafood!I usually call in my order and pick it up- sometimes it's ready, but more often they start making it when I arrive, so plan accordingly.Portions are large and pricing is good: I usually get the ceviche (medium is good if you're getting anything else, I've never had the large); the lemon pepper shrimp salad is stuffed into a tomato like you'd see at a hoity-toity country club, but both dishes are favorites of mine.Others in my office get various fried dishes here, and they also have ceviche tostadas and fish tacos, but I stand by my favorites.

Friday was my first visit to this restaurant and I was impressed w/ the young man named Frank who assisted me. I wasn't sure what I wanted and he politely made a few suggestions. He was endlessly running back and forth taking orders, checking orders, serving, attending customers dining inside, opening the door for those leaving, and assisting the elderly all while keeping the restaurant tightly. He was such a delight I needed to leave a review. I was immediately greeted upon entering the restaurant, food was good, and restaurant was clean. I definitely recommend this restaurant to others. I'll be coming back.

Food is always great. Staff is very friendly. Very nice and clean, and you can't beat the price and service. Love their rice. Always ask for a spoon, so I can make sure I get every grain of rice. Also, their shrimp quesadias are awesome.
