Food has an authentic taste and texture. Service shows an effort, but is a little inconsistent. Atmosphere is typically clean, available seating, but a little warm on some occasions. Noise levels are low and people can have a pleasant conversation. Overall the place is above average for what it offers.

This place is not recognized enough for its creative dishes (cilantro enchiladas) and tasty cocktails (green tea). I almost don't want it to be too popular because we have not had to wait in line for a table, and it's not too loud, and the food really is delicious and fresh. And they do breakfast! We enjoy every visit and leftovers, if any, get eaten.

You'll be surprised with this cozy establishment. The customer service experience will delight you and your guests. Even more so, the taste Mexican dishes along with their incredible menu options will satisfy everyone. The food is fresh and so are those tortillas. This place can even comfortably host large gatherings. We had a magnificent time and will definitely be back!

I had just gotten into San Antonio and I went to pick up the hubby at the airport. It was about 10:45 pm (Friday) and we called them, they were open until midnight. Staff was friendly and food was great.

Good, relaxing atmosphere. Good is delicious and their street tacos are amazingly delicious. Tortilla soup reminds me of El Paso and always order it when I'm feeling under the weather. Definitely worth trying and supporting our local establishments. The staff are friendly and accommodating to large groups. We enjoy eating here!

amazing! Not only are the workers very polite and efficent, the food is FANTASTIC. We tried the chicken soup and it tasted almost identical to a soup my mom would eat in her childhood. The music and lights also are a huge plus to the experience of dining in, would definitely suggest trying this place out if you haven't already

House of Flavor is an exciting name, but can it be lived up to. We tried it to find out. The menu is primarlly Mexican/TexMex. I tried one of my favorite dishes, the Chile Relleno. It looked great. I ordered the one with ground beef. As I cut into it, I noticed the breading was extremely thick. At least a quarter of an inch. Where it wasn't that thick the breadding had soaked up the salsa and was very soggy. It got to the point I gave up on eating the breading and just ate the beef and really found no chile. The pile of breading got turned over and it looked exactly like a hot dog bun. Not saying it was but it sure looked like it and tasted very similar. Not so flavorul or appetizing. This is a style I was not at all familiar with and not my preference. There were others with me that enjoyed their meal very much. Service was excellent. The interior is very modern and appears new. Tip: If you go don't sit by the windows, it gets very very warm.

A friend of my wife ate here last week. I thought it might make a good place for my retiree group, so, I looked at the menu online and liked what I saw. Today, on my way from hiking at Government Canyon, I decided to give it a try, just to make sure it would be good for the group. Since my wife was in Florida vacationing with her college friends, I went alone. After I scarfed down about half of the warm chips and delicious salsa, I ordered the chile relleno plate. It was very good. The rice and beans were exactly the way I like them, as were my corn tortillas. Everything was fresh and tasty without being over-salty like so many San Antonio Mexican restaurants.Another reason for my visit was to see the decor. The previous business at the location was very uncomfortable, probably a factor in their extremely short run. I was pleased to see that House of Flavor is more traditional with booths and regular tables. The tables of the booths are not stationary, allowing a merciful adjustment for bigger folks.I should mention that there is a full bar. I didn't partake on this visit, but I will try a margarita when I come back with my group. Two other answers to questions I asked: 1) Yes... You may order breakfast all day long, although it may take a little longer if they are super busy. and 2) Yes... They do take reservations. If it is a large group, let them know a day ahead at least. They may need to bring on additional servers.

Was actually going to the bar next door and they didn't serve food so we stumbled into this place! We (3 women in their late 20s-30s) actually ended up having a better time here! When we walked in there was only one other customer and us. The place is pretty big and spacious and their booths and a cool wooden design, I liked that they had their logo on them. We ordered some nachos and drinks! They had happy hour from 7-11 which is awesome! They had some delicious drinks for $6.99! Really enjoyed the drinks! Maybe a bit too much haha! Waitress was really nice and kept checking in on us, we even requested a song on their TVs and vibed with the chef! Ended up having a good time! Will probably go back and try other dishes!

Amazing food, service and experience!!Carmen was an amazing server who made sure that we had everything we needed which was an absolute joy! Beautiful interior with large TVs and great music playing. The food was absolutely delicious, we had a table of 4. We started with beef fajita nachos followed by our meals; my daughter had the kids meal enchiladas, my wife the picadillo gorditas and myself the tampiqueno. All of our meals were simply amazing! The flavor was absolutely authentic. Coming from a border town with Mexican parents and grandparents, we had a flavor overload! We can't wait to keep on coming back! 2 thumbs up and 5/5 stars.
