My girls and I stumbled on this place and were super satisfied. It was 3pm so it wasn't too crowded but the Korean Cowboy (who I recognized from when he was working at a restaurant on broadway) was SO FRIENDLY and made my kids feel extra special. It is under new ownership with a soft opening next month so I encourage everyone to give it a shot! Theyre going to be doing some remodeling but I honestly thought it was fine as is. For me it's about the service and the food & it was top tier. The protein was high quality and we enjoyed the sides. Will go again. My daughter (8yrs old) wants everyone to know that they gave them balloons when we left haha.

Yall need to to go here. There was about two people working at this place and they were just On. Top. Of. It. (From what I experienced and saw) Show some support and get them to where they need to be. The server I believe was named Casey and took care of me and my boyfriend and I believe the chef or whom ever came out to serve us good. I'm pointing out the team work they have there to make their restaurant great. It's there. The artwork in the restaurant is cute too. Overall food was great and the STAFF was even better. I personally left a 20% tip and will go back again. My server was just so personable and knew what he was doing it was my first time and he literally said that he was going to walk through how it all worked and PROVIDED. He was also really sociable and charismatic. I'm going to ask for him again. But the restaurant as a whole needs more recognition. Please give it a try. It's so fun and amazing there.

We were stationed in Korea with the Army for two years and fell in love with Korean cuisine! We love trying Korean BBQ or restaurant places here in the states every chance we get. This place had a new feel to it but was nonetheless really great. The dining experience was not overly spectacular, but it wasn't so bad that we would stop back by if in the area. The food choices are adequate, and you get enough portion sizes. I wouldn't say I liked that they gave you Romain lettuce for the leaf choice, but I am for businesses doing what needs to be done to cut costs, and Romain seems like it would be a cheaper cost than the leaves we saw used in Korea. In all, I recommend giving this place a try.

Took our son out for his birthday dinner at the Hon Machi at 842 NW Loop 410, and the experience was truly exceptional. From the moment we walked in to this lively but cozy establishment, we were treated not so much as customers but as guests by the witty, attentive, gracious, and knowledgeable waiter (whom I suspected to be the manager or even the owner). The salad and side dishes were fresh and delicious, the rice steamed to sticky perfection, and the meat was of the very highest quality. We have been to every Hon Machi location in San Antonio (and even a few elsewhere), and this one was by far the best of all of them in every category. We will definitely be coming back, and not just for birthdays anymore!

The price is m decent for the dinner buffet style, however they give you huge amounts of each meat. So I would recommend to ask for half a portion size or even a quarter. Because if you don't you're only going to try a few styles and you might as well pick a combo style for a lesser price. The waiter didn't ask us if this was our first time. So he didn't tell us how much each meat was supposed to be cooked for to get different temperatures. We had to request lettuce wraps, the side sauces, and hot sauce because none of the "spicy" meat was spicy at all.I think this waiter must have been new. He didn't come and check on us or refill our drinks as often as he should have. The food was good but the service wasn't up to par. We went on Mother's Day and there was not a lot of people in the restaurant. However maybe they are still getting their feet on the ground? Oh we did take a little box of food home and it was an additional $10. Which wasn't bad however you were supposed to put everything in one very small box that includes the lettuce wrap with the meat, that doesn't work.

This a new location that just opened up. The location is great and the restaurant is very open, which I do like a lot. Please keep in mind, they are just opened so not all the tables and equipment has been entirely installed at this point (5/2022). Our server was great. She was very patient with our party and we appreciated the service a ton! The food was good, but the steamed rice seemed to be on the dry side, but it was ok. You have to ask for the veggies to be brought to you. You do get a good amount of food for the all you can eat. You choose 3 meats and just go to town. The beef bulogi was great and tasty! The Teriyaki chicken was good as well. You as the customer can now manage the heat which is fantastic! Our large table didn't have an exhaust vent as of yet but we didn't really need it, being the area being so open with the restaurant's high ceilings. We can't wait to return!
