Excellent restaurant!!!! Well worth the drive from San Antonio. I highly recommend. We've been twice. Breakfast & lunch. Service both times was excellent. Food was delivered not exceptionally fast as to make you think everything was pre cooked. It was fast knowing my food was actually being cooked 1 plate at a time. The restaurant area is nice. We loved the plant nursery & gift shop. I'd love to come for a music show out back.

Excellent food and excellent service. What More can you ask for? The weight staff is friendly, attentive, and very fast. The food you order comes out in no time at all. And it's always perfect. This place is a gem.

I've only been here a handful of times but this last time wasn't good at all. Service was good and very polite. The food didn't taste right. Got a simple breakfast of scrambled eggs, hash browns, and bacon. I instantly started to feel weird. Didn't even eat 1/4 of it. Went home and it felt like cross-contamination food poisoning. Will never go back again. I'm concerned about all the senior citizens that were in there. Hope they are ok.

The cook here has skillz..my omelette was has a respectful perfect amount of chopped veggies...not too chintzy not so chunky, it was cooked perfectly al dente. . the egg was like a crepe...beautifully formed...cook has finess...this from a mom and pop place, lucky locals . Best part of breakfast, the crispy hash browns. .I coulda eaten a plateful of that. But I ordered a side of grits. ..a bit of a letdown since my main course was so yum...grits kinda the consistency of Plaster of Paris, with cold chunks in it..chunks of??? Turnip???Puzzling . The biscuits I was told are made on the premises,, could've used about two minutes in oven, almost....the crown of the biscuit look great but it hadn't browned enough to offer a crisp on top with flakiness in center...in fact biscuits were a bit doughy in the middle, just under baked. Awww. Hard pass on the grits. Unless it's Texas style to serve it lumpy and cold. Butter helped. Butter in little pulltop plastic containers...real pats of butter sends a message of freshness. But those crispy hash browns....that perfect crepe-like omelette...worth five stars...Service. Stellar!!! My rockstar waitress was friendly, welcoming and efficient. I'm sorry I didn't catch her name...she topped off my coffee without me having to flag her over. And she checked in. She was a ray of sunshine and energy to a local clientele. Ambiance. Rustic. Old timey. The way you want a breakfast place to be. Ceiling has faux wood paneling even...and a table dedicated to some sinfully big pan baked dessert... large squares of icing atop coffee cake....the greyish color tho made it seem as day old as the clientele here on this foggy Tuesday morning. But that lovely energetic efficient waitress rocking that happy number one haircut...she was awesome. She gave the place a more youthful upbeat vibe. I see you and appreciate you.

Perfect execution of an old school breakfast. It was busy and their waitresses were bustling, but I never felt rushed. I hadn't eaten since lunch the day before, so maybe i went a bit overboard and couldn't finish, but dang, it hit the spot. They don't take credit cards, so bring cash.

This establishment has been around for a very long time. A Kerrville resident and friend took us one morning to enjoy breakfast. The pancake was the size of Texas. I do wish they served butter in some other form besides in a little plastic peel off container. I like lots of butter and don't like getting the eye for (20) discarded butter containers. Just a down home ambience and probably have never changed a thing in all the years...Except the butter.

This is the best breakfast ever, no matter what you order. Try the refried beans, or a cinnamon roll, or an omelette. Go with a friend and share you orders so you can experience the variety. I love this place.
