When people ask me where my favorite place to get ramen is, it's always going to be Hero's!From their Tonkatsu to their spicy miso ramen, my tastebuds are happiest here! They have a great selection of food to choose from and even Japanese snacks and drinks in the front that you can purchase! The ambience is warm and cozy, as the staff is always friendly and quick! It makes a difference not only when the food is delicious but the service is just as good as well!No matter if I'm in Austin, Dallas, or anywhere in Texas, this place is the one I gush about to everyone !

Update: I had a craving for sushi so I went back to my favorites ordered everything I did in the past. My treasure bowl was beyond perfect but my spurs rolls had changed completely. Felt like I was eating a soggy roll that was now very sweet...where did the eel sauce go?! It was gross. Lastly WHY IS IT COOLER OUTSIDE THAN INSIDE?! TURN ON YOUR AIR! I had a hard time breathing because the air is so heavy. Nobody wants to eat hot food in a hot box. Sorry guys won't be back for a while....Original review: I have a strict-ish diet my only source of protein is fish so sushi is my favorite. The sushi at this place is always fresh and amazing! My rolls come out the way I love them and the treasure bowl is out of this world packed with a little of everything. Highly recommend the sushi here. I also love the low music and anime they play on the tvs

food, prices, service, content on tvs. if it is "family oriented" if not then put a sign at the door, it had r rated anime, nudity etc. they got upset at everything like asking for a different table, asking to change a dirty cup, etc, the menu format at the door is a bit annoying, the noodles were a bit weird. not coming back . mr ramen has better options and better value for price

Wanted to try a new ramen place. Service was friendly and fast :) The inside looks cool and is made for anime fans. Food was slightly over-salted, the gyoza and the ramen. Sushi was good but average. They have a cute side with crane machines and extra snacks/drinks. It has potential if they hone in on their food more. would not return sadly.

Love the crane games in the front to start out with! This definitely helps the wait time if you're going in on peak hours. Each coin is a dollar which is 1 try to your choice of a variety of mini crane games. I was able to get a cute little doggy keychain. This restaurant is unique where you order and pay in the entrance before getting seated. They have a variety of Asian drink options to try and also don't forget the ice cream freezer after eating! I had the spicy tonkotsu ramen, calamari, takoyaki, and two of their sushi rolls to share with the hubby. Food was pretty quick to serve. Everything tasted better than I expected, including the tonkotsu ramen. I usually don't like the thick pork broth, but here it's just right and not so overwhelming. I do recommend mixing the ramen well because the spice is towards the bottom of the bowl. Definitely recommend this spot!

Service slows when their automated system malfunctions. Seems they haven't figured out the manual processes when computer systems go down. It's slower when dining in because they appear to prioritize takeout orders over dine-in customers. The ramen is excellent. Just don't expect speedy service if you're dining in when there automated systems malfunction. After about 25 minutes, they came around checking if I got my order... 2 minutes later my meal arrived with a check-the-block apology.3 stars for this experience. Hopefully they'll figure out a solution and prioritize dine-in customers over takeout orders. If they don't the I'll have to recommend not dining in next time.

This place is very tasty with great variation on their menu. I always get the salmon lovers bowl and takoyaki. Their ramen is good as well and has different bowls and flavors. Their tvs are always playing different anime which is cool to watch. In the front here is a selection of Japanese snacks and different drinks.

Incredibly overpriced and underserved. Definitely NOT a place where you'll get much for such a high cost. For starters, you don't have a waiter. You order at the door, and pay up front. What kind of tacky sushi place is this? I felt like I was at a food truck and not a sit down restaurant. You get to pick from just 2 types of ramen noodles, and you get a TINY LITTLE pathetic bowl that is appetizer-sized.. for $15! I've never seen such a small bowl of ramen noodles for such a high price. And if you want it spicy, that's an extra charge... WTF. I've been to ramen places where the standard size is about 3x as big as this ridiculous little bowl of soggy noodles, and other places give you the option for how spicy or mild you want it, without charging you extra. Then you have about a dozen options for sushi rolls, but each roll will run you at least $15. And the sushi rolls are mediocre at best.Add a soda or iced tea to your ramen and sushi roll, and your total is between $35 to $40. That's $35-40 PER PERSON!! In this economy, that is outrageous. For that price I would've expected a much bigger bowl of ramen, or at least 2 or 3 different rolls. And they have the fkng nerve to present you with the tip request screen when you're paying up front by the door. Excuse me?? You want me to tip you on top of all this and you're not even waiting on me at my table? GTFOH.The only reason I went thru with it was because I went there with a couple of friends and I felt like I had no choice. But I will NEVER come back to this spot again, and I've already started telling other friends to stay away from there. Now to be clear, I wouldn't have been so put off by the almost $40 cost, if at least the food was delicious. It was not. It was basic AF.

This place turned my bad day into a good one and I look forward to coming back.I headed out for AYCE sushi and took several wrong turns before pulling into to this place, (which was not my intended destination) suffice to say I'm glad I ended up where I did. I came in solo after a long day looking to treat and cheer myself up; Mission accomplished. So you roll in, and your order/selections are made right at the front entrance with the hostess for dine in or out. You'll pay at the door as well, including tip. There is indeed a small but colorful unique shop set up at the entrance with additional drink selection including alcoholic beverages, toys, games and paraphernalia. I requested a seat at the bar but was instead seated towards the back in a smaller room. It was perfect. The beer was fresh and served in great portion, perfect amount of head. Appetizer (shrimp tempura) was light flaky and delicious. My two rolls were magnificent. Never had street corn on a sushi roll but it WORKS! It was different and delicious and the variety of dipping sauces just added an extra umph!I left so full, revived, and happy!
