Visiting San Antonio for a weekend trip and wanted to find something unique. Was given a rec for Rays/Henry's for the puffy tacos the city is known for.Tried the spicy beef puffy tacos and wasnt disappointed. The texture of the fried tortilla was great esp when served fresh and had a nice crunch and chew at the middle. The spicy steak was seasoned but not that spicy and slightly too well done for my taste. Definitely enjoyed my first puffy taco though and the location is decent for sit down with s second location for takeout only.

Amazing service, even with bug parties everything comes out fast and well prepared. Their special tacos are what really set it apart. It's unique and tastes amazing. One of my favorites. The ambiance is cute, can be loud at times but the food makes up for it.

Always consistent great Mexican food and great service. The chips and salsa bar is amazing and the puffy tacos are out of this world.

Amazing food. They deliver via DoorDash. My driver was very friendly. I haven't been to this location in ages so I can't speak to the ambiance. This food is just as good at the Bandera location's food.

I've know of the concept of a "puffy taco" for many years. It has been on my "to try" list for quite some time. Well this past weekend we found ourselves in San Antonio, and made a puffy taco a priority. A Yelp search gave Henry's high marks.Wow, I was expecting a taco stand in a parking lot. It probably was at one time. Not now. It is a spacious, well it, and air conditioned dining environment. Perfect on this hot Texas day. Our server, Ayden, was great. We let him know we were new to the concept. His knowledge of the menu, and the lunch specials, was very helpful.Thuy spotted something we don't see often, a grilled chili relleno. So we're set, puffy tacos and a chili relleno. Very impressed with both. We would dine here again in an instant... But there are other puffy tacos joints to try. Bottom line: So little time, so many options.

This was my first time at this location! Never knew we had two in San Antonio. This location is a little different in the sense that it's self serve. You order you're food at the counter. I got puff tacos of course they were delicious! Then the drinks and chips are self serve as well! I like this concept because this allowed me to chose from all the varieties of salsa they have to offer.

I like these tacos except not all of them are great. I found the picadillo to be very mediocre but the spicy chicken was really quite tasty. Also, their chips are awesome. I mean awesome. I could have just eaten their tortilla chips and salsa only. They're really that great.

I've been wanting to try Henry's because we're on a search for puffy tacos and these have been recommended. The restaurant was clean and looked like your typical taqueria. We were immediately greeted and seated upon entering. It took a while for a server to come to our table but when he arrived he was friendly and attentive. The chips were crispy and fresh. Salsa was very mild and pretty average tasting. We ordered a queso and everyone at the table agreed it was pretty good. We got 2 orders of puffy tacos that included spicy beef fajita, spicy chicken fajita, and picadillo. Both plates came with rice and beans. The picadillo was lacking in flavor and was pretty bland. The spicy chicken was good but our favorite was the spicy beef fajita. The rice had a strong taste of cumin and was on the mushy side. The refried beans tasted better than the charro beans. Charro beans had a taste to them that I couldn't figure out but it wasn't something I wanted to continue eating. I was concerned about the shell falling apart as we ate them but all 4 were crispy and delicious and did not fall apart. We also had a burrito with steak fajita. It came with enchilada sauce and cheddar cheese. My son said it was good but he was only able to eat half because of how large it was. The items we ordered plus sodas came out to approximately $65 before tip. Overall I would say this was a pretty average experience for us as far as food goes. The service was good. I'd go back to try some other menu items because there are good reviews on here.
