Gravves Coffee

I wish they were closer. I used to work downtown and would stop in the morning but now I don't. Even after a year or so, I went in and he said "I haven't seen you in awhile!" Their fresh baked pastries are amazing. The new location warms my little gothy heart. Always clean. Always fresh. Always friendly. My favorite is the The Elixir...mellow and smooth, slightly sweet.

I had been wanting to visit Gravves for months now, but as a new mom life kind of gets in the way. I finally decided to make my way out there from Boerne with my toddler during one of their bakery pop-ups. I really like the location of the shop and the goth aesthetic! It's definitely something I've never seen before. The drinks are also unique which was the main purpose of visiting. My husband and I ordered the hot Elixir Latte (ube flavor) and an iced Xeno Latte (black sesame flavor). The Xeno was very good, not much coffee taste, but I am glad we tried it. The Elixir on the other hand was so sweet and had absolutely no coffee flavor. I wish I would've asked for 2-3 extra shots. I probably would've enjoyed it more if it wasn't only slightly above room temperature. Besides that, the barista was friendly despite the busy hour and answered questions. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest, toilet paper bits across the floor and the roll was hard to reach. But that's me just being picky. I will likely not be back, unless I am in the area.

My wife and I are coffee connoisseurs. Not only are we working our way through all 50 states, ordering from local roasters, we love a good local coffee shop. In fact, our first date was in a coffee shop. Tried Gravves for the first time last Saturday. The first thing that struck me was what seemed to be wasted space. Are they keeping all that space as a dance floor? There is so much space which could be filled with neat, comfortable seating, neat lighting. C'mon, at least pretend you want to invite people to stay awhile. Ultimately had the Xeno latte. It was very good and I highly recommend it, although I wish it were served hotter. The baristas knew what they were doing though...drinks seem to get cranked out fast. Unfortunately, our morning there was ruined by the tattoo shop next door. I guess some of the crowd parked where they shouldn't have, leading to one of the tattoo artists coming in yelling that they'd already called a tow truck. Really dampened the mood. We left shortly after because the rude tattoo dude didn't have to handle the situation that way. So, yeah, parking is an issue. Do yourself a favor, park on the street on one of the adjacent streets and ask for your drink extra hot.

I've heard rave reviews about this spot, so I was really excited to try it. Unfortunately I wasn't wow'ed. I tried one of their apple flavored specialty lattes and it was overly sweet and had a fake apple taste to it. My husband tried a tea drink and also thought it was just fine. If I'm paying for a coffee out, I want it to be something that I can't make at home that has a good flavor, but unfortunately that wasn't our experience. The service was very quick, however. The shop itself was very spacious, but there were only a few tables out which I found odd. It has a very minimalist vibe in addition to the black decor. The real reason we stopped here was to try a local baker's pop up and we were more impressed with the pastries than the drinks.

My friend really wanted to try this place but they were closing right when we get there so we just ordered our drink and left. We ordered the elixir (Ube base) and it was delish! We need to go back to try the other flavors.

Gravves coffee really nailed it with the vibes and flavor. The elixir latte was wild tasting Ube flavored latte. I wasn't so sure what to expect from it but WOW!! Super tasty and it looked super pretty.The Forrest dweller really stole the show, a tropical tasting coffee that was very pleasant looking. Plus the two people behind the counter were super friendly, they helped explain everything on the menu to us.I loved this place, next time I'm in San Antonio I'm making sure to stop by here for a cup

I come here often, and the drinks always slap! I prefer my drinks hot, and the level of sweetness from the elixir latte is perfect.

The vibes are as dark are my soul. Love the cups hot and iced for being black. This is more then a gimmick, it's a gem. I was ready to call this a place nothing but a instagrammable coffee shop for those that grew up flipping their hair from one side to the other. The problem is that it's actually good af! In fact, I believe this place vibes is probably keeping this place from being packed. They probably prefer it that way tbh. The Apple of Eden latte (seasonal) is something to hold and it worth the sins thrust upon humanity for sip.

Two thumbs up for the forest dweller latte! It was so good and I can see why it was highly recommended. My husband got the Americano and said it was good as well!Service was quick and prompt. We went early on a Saturday morning so there was no wait and no issue with parking.

It was okay. They don't have a big dairy alternative, they also don't have a huge syrup option and no sugar free options. I usually order my syrups sugar free but they were extremely limited with their coffee menu. Ambiance was super cool and relaxing. I like how dark and black it is inside, it made me feel relaxed.
