Goomba's Pizzeria

I've been going with my teen sons to a different pizza place each weekend they're with me. We've been to several places and none have been bad and most have been great. For me this was just fine. The taste was ok. Not great, but not bad either. The interactions with staff were limited. Just the ordering and receiving of the food. The dude was nice and all, not unpleasant and not outstanding. I had mixed feelings about the ambiance. I like the decor; I've never been to New York, but it had a New York feeling to me. The downsides were the arcade machine they have is just sitting there not turned on or not working. The dining area seemed clean enough, but smoke stains on the ceiling in the kitchen were unappetizing. That's all.

TLDR: Great food, decent service, and a blast of nostalgia when you eat in their dining room. I visited Goomba's for their 2-slice and a drink lunch special. Came out hot and perfect. This is a very authentic NY/NJ style pizza. If you're an itinerant New Yorker, this is closest to a Bleeker Street pie.Very thin crust, with the perfect amount of chewiness and crunch. Mushroom topping was very good. Pepperoni was epic, with a little charred crunch at the end!This place scores a 5 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below.5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. I just want to put this out there that I did not eat in the restaurant, I ordered off of DoorDash. With that being said, the food was great! I ordered the chicken Alfredo, house salad, and chocolate cake. All three items were delicious!

My fiancee's family and I dined on a Friday night. We ordered a large Meatlover's pizza, and a large order of buffalo wings. The pizza was huge, very tasty, and was foldable with a crisp. The wings are baked but just as good with lots of flavor. We dines in and we noticed the customer service was the only thing lacking. Overall, the food will definitely have you returning. Highly recommend.

They must have new people bc the service was TRASH. I'm too mad to even write a full post ..Let me try the food I waited 20 min on .. the food I had to sit back & wait another 10 on..Yea the pizza tasted like cigarettes and the tasted broiled or something but not the same from two years ago .. NEVER AGAIN

Upon entering, I thought this is such a cute little New York was pretty clean however employees could've been clean tables floor. I was greeted by the cashier young lady who was nice. She did have an AirPod AirPod in her ear which I thought that was a bit unprofessional and she came out from kitchen area wearing black gloves. She touched the registered took my cash money and went back into the back. That is a huge concern however I normally just pray over my food and hope for the best. I ordered the lunch special for about $11 got two large slices of pizza one with spinach and mushrooms the other with pepperoni and sausage! The pizza was delicious! Definitely NY style and I do recommend this place overall. To management I would recommend additional training in cross contamination, professionalism and find something for the workers to do besides on their phone. I also like the tea selection. The arcade games add a cute nostalgic vibe to the place.

Great fresh pizza (and other Italian dishes) at a reasonable price. Had their two slices and a drink combo and it was delicious!

Meh.....What else can I say? It was only $4 and would probably be good if options were extremely limited.

I always order to-go, so I cannot comment on their dining-in experience. These New York style pizzas are so flavorful and fresh! The crust is thin, they do not skimp on the toppings and it's just overall very tasty. Local pizza joints with fresh ingredients just hit different. I love the veggie pesto but you can't go wrong with a pepperoni. Yesterday we had half and half and it was the perfect combination. They also have pizza by the slice, appetizers and daily specials. Price is fair. Overall, I enjoy Goomba's and love supporting local neighborhood eateries.

The pizza and the calzone were delicious. The price was very fair considering the quality. The young ladies that were working right now were very nice and professional. Lots of easy parking. Nice small dining area. I believe I will eat inside next time.
