I really like Gogi and will drive some way to come get it! I feel it has flavors of Korean and Mexican. Great portions and it's fast. Restaurant has seating, but it travels well. Highly recommend!

I found this restaurant seeking non-pork dumplings. I ended up purchasing a couple of bowls, also. Both were good. The avocado on the San Antonio bowl was fresh and the chicken was nicely flavored. I heard the BBQ Beef bowl was also good. The chicken dumplings were delicious.I returned to purchase the dumplings and the chicken egg rolls which were both a hit.The location is clean.

Loved it! The food is affordable and they give you an ample amount. We came 30 minutes before closing and our food came out in about 5 minutes!Fast and friendly service! We ordered the kimchi fries with beef ($1.00 extra) but they aren't skimpy on the portion! It was flavorful and reminded me of bbq and chili cheese fries had a baby!We also tried the beef and chicken combo bowl. They gave us a healthy portion of meat and it was a sweet doy glaze flavor. The rice was DOUSED in the sauce which we enjoyed 9/10. The regular size is perfect for one person! Kimchi fries can be shared with 3 or 4 people to be honest and it was only $12 dollars! I will be back!

Wish I had found this place sooner. The best Korean fusion ever. You order at the counter then they call your name - it's very relaxed and perfect for lunchtime!

After stepping off the plane and spending hours running errands, I quickly became hungry. Back in Texas after a long absence, I decided to let friends and family choose where we should eat. They had never tried Korean BBQ and were eager to give it a taste. Although I've had Korean BBQ countless times, I was just along for the ride.We headed to Gogi Street, a small restaurant located in a center with a few other eateries, all of which were closed. Before diving into the details, it's important to note that this isn't your traditional Korean BBQ. The restaurant is owned and run by Mexicans who haven't tried all the common Korean BBQ dishes. There's nothing wrong with that; it's just different from what I'm used to. It has a unique Texas twist rather than a traditional Korean approach. The restaurant seats about 20 people, with no outdoor seating. Upon entering, I noticed that the menu and drink selection were limited, but that isn't always a bad thing. I let my group order first so I could take my time reviewing the menu. The person taking my order was very nice and welcoming, answering all my questions quickly. Even other customers offered a few suggestions. However, I had a confusing interaction with the server because he was opening a box of Korean corn dogs they were going to try for the first time. The restaurant was very clean and well-maintained. My group and I decided to get the Honey Glazed Egg Roll, Chicken Met Shrimp, Korean BBQ Beef, and the Gogi Street Supreme with drinks. This meal was interesting because I'm used to cooking the food over the fire at Korean BBQ places. However, not long after we ordered, our full meal was ready. Everything was hot and generously portioned. If you're visiting for a date night or a quick lunch, one meal can easily feed two people. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection, though it was overly sweet. The Chicken Met Shrimp featured crispy tempura shrimp, avocado chicken on a bed of jasmine rice. The Gogi Street Supreme included chicken and beef on jasmine rice, which paired well, but the avocado seemed out of place. The Korean BBQ Beef was a bowl of rice topped with beef in a Korean sweet sauce. The Honey Glazed Egg Roll might have been the best item, but it had too much glaze, making it a bit soggy. The salty egg roll paired well with the honey glaze, but the excess glaze took away from the needed crunch.Overall, I would return with different expectations. If you've never tried Korean BBQ, this is a perfect place for a first introduction to Korean food. However, if you're familiar with traditional Korean BBQ, this place might not meet all your expectations, not because the food isn't good, but because it might lack the items you're looking for. Hopefully, next time I visit, the staff will have tried more items, and there will be a greater variety of Korean drinks and other menu items.

I was in San Antonio and looking for something quick to grab. Love that I was able to order and easily pick up. There was a drive through but it was packed so I picked up my order inside. I got the San Antonio bowl and the loaded kimchi fries with beef. I'm not a huge fan of things smothered in sauce. The food was good but also overwhelming. The sauce is sweet so it was easy to get tired of the food. Even though I didn't order the spicy version of the bowl, I think everything kinda has a bit of a "kick" because the chili powder if you do have kids. The value for the food was great. It was a big portion and each dish could easily feed two. Worth a try if you're into Asian fusion.

My husband and I tried Gogi Street and let me preface this with we are not huge fans of things smothered in sauce. The service was quick and painless!Overall this was just entirely too much. You can't taste the actual food because there are so many different sauces drenching everything. All three dishes we tried were extremely overwhelming and you just can't get an idea of what the food actually taste like. Not quite sure if I'd give it another go just because it's so heavy. Unfortunately we didn't finish these dishes, it was all just too much for us. However if all the way loaded is your cup of tea, then this is the place for you! They definitely don't hold back!
