Gems Of Hawaii

Our first experience with Gems was located outside Wilford Hall at Lackland Air Force Base. Saw a food truck with the sign Filipino/ Hawaiian food-curious and the culmination of the two cultures sounded amazing. We ordered the chicken and noodles bowl $11. Simple, flavorful, and not overly salty. Pancit had finely chopped veggies/celery and was topped with nice chunks of marinated chicken. Since I love spice, I added some of their sriracha sauce they offered. Meal was perfect and hit the spot. Would love to try their beef egg rolls next time I bump into them. Fast and friendly service with an aloha vibe.

Wow this is a gem in San Antonio! Gems of Hawaii is found with a couple other food trucks. The area is nice and there is constant mist flowing to keep the area cool. The kalbi mixed bowl was a $19 mix of kalbi, stir fried noodles, teriyaki chicken, and white rice served on top of a halved pineapple. The kalbi was perfectly cooked and was savory and sweet. This was the highlight of the dish for sure. The rest of the dish was amazing with the perfect amount of seasoning. Highly recommend this dish to anyone.

The food is so flavorful. I recommend the lumpia and pancit.I wish I knew where I could consistently find the food truck. The food is sometimes slightly different. For example, much drier as if it wasn't as fresh. Still good though. Sorry no pictures. I always eat it so fast.

There are few places I would sit in the 105 degree heat for. This is one of them. This place was amazing from presentation to taste! I split this with another person so it ended up being ~$10 a person. We were plenty full after this great meal. The kalbi was just so amazing! I wish the whole pineapple was just kalbi tbh. Underneath the kalbi was a bed of rice and noodles that really complemented the Kalbi. I'm pretty sure there was also teriyaki chicken in this as well. There were also 3 lumpias on the pineapple as well! Just so delicious!! I wish this place was closer to me! I highly recommend.

So good!!! I am glad we made it to this food truck! Great customer service! Great taste! The chicken was very well seasoned, and the lumpia was good! I will def be back again, and would highly recommend!

This place is one of many trucks located in The Area 51 food park. My wife and I tried a bunch of the trucks, but this one was the best of the night. The price is only 12 bucks, and it is a hell of a lot of food. The chicken and rice was awesome! The pancit was super good too! Give this truck a try, I promise you'll love it.

Really enjoyed the food at Gems of Hawaii food truck. Great outdoor food truck park, music & dance floor too & great place for the kids to run around. We tried the combination plate & lumpia of course. Really great tasting food. We enjoyed it. Thank you.

Amazing food and good service time, really cool spot. I think the prices are a little high but worth it.
